Gibson L6S | A Very, Very Careful Review
Ive watched this quite a few times now as I really am locked in to these chord changes. Thank you for sharing this!!!!
Sounds great 2nd B.
Great video and playing! I got interested in this guitar because Junie Morrison played one on Funkadelic’s (Not Just) Knee Deep.
Great song. Fantastic arrangement and performance! Super cool 👍👍
A really good Ibanez ArtCore is more expensive than €400.- If you had tried an AS93FM, you would have enjoyed it.
This was in 2019. Prices were different for the Epiphone. Now those are going for between 600-800. That model Ibanez hasn't gone up as much. I see one for 260 on my Craigslist. I like Ibanez so I probably would like it fine.
@@RickRomanelli The early Chinese Epiphones weren't as good as the Korean ones. Actually, I held one in my hand in which the pole pieces were not under the strings: the whole pickup was NOT centred. In 1986/87, I was totally in love with an Epiphone Sheraton II, I waited until I had graduated, but they had raised the price from ƒ695.- to ƒ995.- in a couple of months. I was so pissed that I bought a MIJ Fender Stratocaster for ƒ795.- instead.
@@gingerbeer914 I'm using an Eastman T386 now. It is far better than any of these, in my opinion. Thanks for the information though.
Baja sounds G🕶D Rick❗💯👍👍👍
Gettin' down with the Baja... Gotta love a Tele... 🎼🎶
Sweet licks! Beautiful.
Bro are u forgetting that this gutiar u can get for 180 at the right times mine is perfect u must have got a lemon cause mine is perfect no joke

Sweet licks mate from a very good musician! Roc-0n my friend and community brother. ☮️ peace Dana E💫✌🏻😁👍🏻
Thanks Dana! Let's hear it for Skippy's track too.
Wonderful performance! Kendall stole the show with her smile and antics! I guess if you can't beat them, join them!!! 😂 🦵🏼🪭
That's right, Jorge. I am lucky to have her smile.
Groovy folks
Thanks Blug. Hope you are doing well, bro!
Ah, the '70s and the Bahai'i religion. 🙄😉 Loved the opening/signature riff on the Tele, Rick. It had just the right amount of bite and grit. I looked to see if I could tell what pickup configuration you were playing through, and noticed what looked like a white tip from a Strat selector switch instead of a "top hat." My eyes are 70 years old, plus I have cataracts, but was I seeing that right? And were you playing it in middle position? Oh, and BTW, since I'm asking all these questions, are y'all just a 4-piece band now? What happened to Maria? Is she ok?
Hey Larry! 1. You need to explain the Bahai'i reference. I thought we were doing a song about a nice day. 2. Favorite tele. I had a 4 position switch put in so it's hard to see. It's likely the neck pickup which I use most of the time. 4th position is both pickups wired in series. 3. I always rip those tophat switches right off. Strat switch is better for me. 4. Maria is doing well but not playing with us anymore. It's really great to hear from you, brother!
@@RickRomanelli “Summer Breeze” in and of itself isn’t a Bahai’i song, but both Seals & Crofts were members of and apologists for that religion, and this showed in many of their songs: several on the _Summer Breeze_ album, and most of the follow up LP, _Diamond Girl_. Those two albums were released in 1972 & 1973, respectively. I had the _Diamond Girl_ LP, probably in no small part because it was released the year, even the very month, that Beth & I got married. So my comment was not just about “Summer Breeze.” I can’t think of Seals & Crofts without thinking of the religious overtones to so much of their music, and of the way things were in the early ‘70s. About the Tele, I relate. My favorite pickup wiring is with a 4-way switch, I have that on two of my teles. And one of those two has a Strat selector switch tip. The pickups in mine are DiMarzio Twang Kings.
Awesome performance!!🔥🎵👏 Everyone sounds so good, love the vocals and backup vocals! 🔥🌹🎵
Thanks. Sometimes even I hit the right notes 😎
@@RickRomanelli 😄🎶
Now thats a way to kick off a tour❗👍👍👍
That would be fun. Haven't been on a tour.
Well done folks 👏 👍 One of my favorites 😊
Thanks so much!
I love the tone of that Telecaster, Rick. Great song. Vocals hit just right, Kendell. Nice performance, Second Breakfast: Rick, Kendell, Chip, and Doug.
Thanks brother!
Totally awesome Rick❗💯 You and Skip earned your three thumbs up👍👍👍
Thanks Dar. Skip's tune. I'm just lucky enough to jam on it.
Great solo with wonderful tone Rick❗💯👍👍👍
Sweet, Rick
Thanks Brother!
Always super sweet guitar Rick 😋 🎸 Great groove 👍
PGH LiveJamz is responsible for the groove. Thanks Rainfield!
Awesomeness as usual bro ^_^
Thanks Emp. Hope you are doing well.
Nice.
Thanks so much!
Mighty tasty licks, Rick & PGH. Well done 👏👏🎸🎸
Thanks for listening and commenting, Gary.
Beautiful tone and I love your rocking play, Rick! 🎶💖🎸🔥🎵Cheers! \|/
Many thanks!!
Great collaboration Rick! Maybe you'll play this on your next live jam session for us?!?!
For sure!! I just need to get back to doing one. Hopefully on Monday. Peace Jorge!
Absolutely love it. Thanks for the collaboration my fren. Maybe folks will look into Tartaria....Never know...
Hope so! I love tarts.
loved this, new sub here
Thank you so much!
About the end of the bar unscrewing, that allows for shortening the functional length of the bar: Unscrew the tip, pass that end through the arm hole in the unit, and you have the equivalent of a cut down bar on a strat, AKA a Gilmour mod. I have two Guyker trems, I find them very useful!
Nice playa :-)
Recently got an AM Pro Tele 2016 with V-Mods, they sound better for setting up, bridge a little lower, neck a little higher - I like the neck most - what would be a good alternative to the bridge? Fralin Vintage Hot? Or I might swap for another set, Nocaster seems a safe bet - or... might keep these if I get used to them ;-)
Yeah, the kind of guitar you take to a gig in the Rough part of town. Not sure it could replace my Chinese or USA Casino's, great review thou 🙂
I like this upbeat song andyour group's performance, Rick! 🎶💖🎤🎸🎸🥁💘🎵Cheers! \|/
Cheers Marc!
Sounds great Rick. Bravo to all 👏👏🎸🎸❤❤
Thanks Gary!
Great tune and groove Rick and all 👍 Fantastic vocals 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 Sweet guitar too 😋 🎸
Never liked this song until now!!!
Yeah. Me neither, Janice. It's fun to play though.
Loved the performance. Great job Second Breakfast.
Thanks so much!
Before the rain! 👏👏👏Well done everyone 🤟🙏
It seems to rain every time we play at least a little.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤❤❤ C'mon Valerie, how many times does Kendall have to ask you? Can't you see how much fun they're having?! Maybe the lyrics should be changed to Jorge, come on over. You'd only have to ask once...😂😂😂
You rock Jorge. Thanks so much.
Great review and super playing. These are awesome guitars. I've had one a few years and it's the guitar I pick up 70 percent of the time. Didn't know they did a red one . Mines kind of a wine colour. Only mod I made was swapping the pickups for a Duncan JB and Duncan 59 because I had them laying around
Thanks. This one is definitely on the "no way I'd sell it" list. I'm a big fan of the Diuncan 59. Thanks for your kindness.
Great jammin' Rick !!
I have the 7-string version, strung with flatwounds, 80-65-56-35-25-18-14, tuned to A standard. It's a great guitar/bass hybrid (I love Charlie Hunter), and I can swap out strings and throw on a capo for a more modern sound. Would probably go without a car before selling it.
Cool. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for this video. I have a Dot from around 2010. When I finally was able to bring it to my luthier (he hates that title), he looked above his glasses into my eyes with a stern look and said, "Next time you buy a guitar, take me with you." He knew the Dot was crap. I bought it with what I had left of an inheritance money, so I think I'll never be able to part with it. I have tried to turn it into a decent guitar. I got humbucker size P90s in it, and that made a world of difference. It was dull and drab with HBs in it ... and they were Antiquities! I replaced the pots, etc with 50s harness. I got a Zero Glide fret installed. That helped quite a bit. [ I have been tuning my guitars at the 2nd fret, which means open strings may be a few cents flat, but the guitar sounds in tune that way. See James Taylor's video about tuning .. ] Locking tuners helped. Better bridge with tusq saddles. The guitar sounds great through my Vox AC15c1. The only thing remaining is the wobbly mahogany neck. Solution? I am going to have carbon fiber rods installed. From all I have read, that can help a mahogany neck considerably. Like others have stated, the AS73 is one great guitar. But it does sound sterile next to the latest Epi ES335. Oh yeah, I am reshaping the neck. Mostly the shoulders. It will be more like a Fender modern C shape. Quite a lot of investment for a crap guitar. But in the end ... maybe I will finally be happy with it.
I just sold some antiquity P90s because I thought they were too dark. Interesting comment. Thanks for watching.
This pedal sounds better than the MXR Timmy (and I own both)
It's all in the way you turn the knobs.
Thank you for the demo Rick. The V-mod and the IIs are the best set of pickups ive played on a production model and it was a hard decision to let them go. For my money tho it’s ultimately going to the 52/58, they have a deep and rich character to them reminiscent of the classic tele sound. The difference is subtle in this demo, but I could defo distinguish them apart, having played em in person
