No nonsense are you kidding me. I saw him use bacon in video but non mentioned in the recipe. How much bacon? This video is about his new thermometer he's new toy he wanted to show off. He should've done a separate video on the stupid thermometer promotion for the commission to sponsor. You must know this guy and putting a good word in for him.
Whole pork loin is my absolute favorite thing to make for holiday/family/group dinners. I do one for Thanksgiving every year (not a fan of turkey) and try a different method or recipe each time. Bacon does often find its way in to the mix, too.
Try wrapping something like that up in a frogmat and pinning the mat tight around the loin with wooden skewers. Works great on keeping something like that (or meatloaf) together.
Great looking cook I am sure that loin was tremendous. Thanks for sharing the Meater. I love the way it is wireless and you can use it with a rotisserie. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Greg, so many good things going on here. You're such a pro. I did a loin rotisserie last weekend too. Mine turned out good and tasted great, but yours is just textbook. Loved it. That "MEATER" may be the next big craze in grilling. Enjoyed watching (and learning)
What a great looking pork loin. I don't have a rotisserie but that will do great on my smoker. The glaze looks delicious. Keep smoking and Merry Christmas.
That I'm about to try this for a church gathering friend I imagine its pretty important to protect the bacon from direct fire with foil huh? Is that crucial in your opinion?
I used the MEATER when cooking my Thanksgiving Turkey. My iPad actually shut down due to overheating when the sun moved and hit the iPad directly on my patio. I moved it inside to cool and left it by my patio door on the inside of my house for the remainder of the cook ... and where it will be located going forward.
Love my MEATER. It's fantastic with the rotisserie (and other cooks). One point that took me a while to figure out is the MEATER will automatically shut down (EDIT: Shut down the app) AFTER the cook is finished. I haven't found any dedicated off switch for it other than forcing the app to close.
That pork loin looked like pork perfection Greg! Pretty cool gadget as well! Loved how it predicted the time left, and allowed for carry over heat. Lot of thought went into this device!
Found your channel earlier this morning. I love your vids and gotta tell you that this vid in particular is my favorite. That pork loin looks amazing. I dont have a green egg but maybe I could try baking it in the oven. Thats how my wife usually cooks pork loin when we have it.
Greg!!! That’s some serious pork! Ive recently retired and now I’ve been binging on your burger videos and I’ve done 3 of them. I’m gonna have to sneak this one in as soon as I get a rotisserie device. I’ve also purchased the grill grates and the Ballistic Griddle from Craycort. You’re truly an inspiration my man. Keep making us happy with your vids. Thanks!
Wow, that looks great. How long you think it would take to cook one in the Ronco rotisserie, unfortunately the machine doesn't have a temperature control knob, I would love to make one but don't want to overcook it
I always hear him say that he's rocking 'the big grenade'! We've been trying to get those Meater thermometers, but decided to wait for the Meater Block.
Bare in mind I am a complete newbie as far as rotisserie cooking and also that I would be cooking on a gas grill but would it not be ideal to leave the meat rotating on the rotisserie with the lid open and obviously with the gas turned off during the resting period so as to better distribute the internal juices as the joint rests?
Looks so good. I never did a roast or loin on my rotisserie. Will have to give it a go :) The meater seems extremely nice. Must look into that as well.
After Christmas I'm definitely gonna get one of those MEATER's. Anyone that has a rotisserie, especially, needs one. Definitely more involved when recording the cook. I'm low tech and it's not easy for me. Can't imagine your set up. Your glaze and pork loin looked delicious. Nice addition of those cloves too. I think even vegetarians sneak bacon occasionally, it's so good😂Thanks for sharing😃
Great looking pork loin and I loved that glaze you mixed up!!! Great idea adding some cloves to the pig too!! I'm really impressed with the Meater probe. And yes, who doesn't love bacon? LOL Dude, you need to try some Grill Pinz to hold that bacon on the pig. You want me to hook you up? Cheers to ya brother!!!
Great review and video. I know that pre-salting the meat not only makes it more tender but allows the salt to penetrate the whole meat piece, do you think in this case, instead of pre-salting the meat say overnight, do you think if you prepared this for cooking 24 hours before, without the normal salt, do you think the salt from the bacon would penetrate the meat in the same way?
can you use meater cloud with you iPhone without an iPad or another device? without getting the meater block cause I don't Realli want too end about 270
Im lovin the sound of that Peach glaze Greg! Even though I like to try to keep BBQ ol school (I call it grass roots cookin)That meater would definitely be a nice addition to my pit anytime! Thanks!
WHAT????? BACON WRAPPED PEACH LOIN????? HOLY MOLY YOU JUST GOT YOURSELF A BRAND NEW SUBSCRIBER MY FRIEND!!! 😊💋✌️🤟👍👍👍👍👍👍 I rather not use the bacon it's so expensive now but I can use the cheap cuts of bacon ends and I can render out the fat, and do a very slow pan sear, and constantly baste it in the bacon fat and save the fried bacon for breakfast. The loin will still have the bacon flavor in it plus to make the loin perfectly juicy inside, I would rub it with a mix of baking soda, corn starch, soy sauce and some honey or brown sugar. Then I would let it sit for about 2 hours at cool temp, then bring it to room temp and do the sear while basting it in the bacon fat. THIS WAS AN AWSOME IDEA AND YOU GAVE ME EVEN MORE IDEAS JUST THINKING ABOUT IT. THANKS ALOT!!
That looks amazing, but....I'm curious why you trimmed those bacon "flaps" instead of just using a few more cloves to anchor them down? Great video, Greg!!
I thought at the start of the vid you'd use the Napoleon for this. I didn't know you had the Joetisserie for the Big Green Egg. I wonder if they'll develop something similar for the Primo Oval XL, which I bet would be a tad difficult because of the oval shape.
I love your videos, nice and clear, delicious food. I’ve been looking into getting a Meater. How has the Meater worked since you’ve uploaded this video, any issues?
Hey Greg, this is funny watching this video, because I just ordered mine on the 10th and is being delivered on the 15th. I ordered it because I have the CB rotisserie for the Weber kettle... anyway the pork loin roast came out looking fantastic and was done to perfection... Thanks Chris : )
For those of you who are excited about the MEATER probe, let me fill you in on something. Some of the backers of the Kickstarter, the higher tier backers at that, have been waiting 2+ years for the delivery of their MEATER probes and blocks. Updates to backers are sporadic at best. We're lucky if we get anything every 3 months or so to let us know how our money is being "invested". The sad part is it truly does look to be a great tool. Single MEATER probes shipped out to backers months ago and the updates for the block backers have many questioning if there will ever be a fulfilled pledge. Greg, I love your channel and your videos. But I will not watch another episode that stars the MEATER until the people at Apption deliver on their 2+ year promise. What was supposed to ship in a matter of 4 or so months has dragged out over two years with no end in sight. And some backers who have tried for a refund have reportedly been refused. Not a company I will ever do business with again.
Thank you Mitchell. So you know, I'm not involved in the company or the production, but I do know that they had some problems with their initial production. They weren't happy with the quality of the first run and have since resolved the issues. This bing said man, that's Kickstarter. You're more or less investing in a company to help them get off of the ground. You're not ordering a product like on Amazon. Sometimes it takes a while to get up and running. I bought in on a product almost three years ago. It's a frustrating reality I guess. Cheers brother!
great job Greg that looks fantastic. On a side note, in my opinion it would help with video continuity if you covered the digital clock on your microwave. I'm not sure why seeing those time stamps distracts me so much haha
Love your channel . I hope you tube doesn't screw smaller content creators over . they have been getting rid of smaller channels ability to collect ad money . sucks
You should try a Burger priest recipe. It's owned by a guy that has opened a few locations in the Toronto area in Canada. They make five guys look like crap and have some great burger toppings. Food competition is really tough in toronto and they are ranking number one with many groups for best burgers in the city. I haven't seen every one of your burger videos so i can't tell if they have something worth adding to the channel. I do recommend regardless checking them out at least!
The MEATER is a good idea but I really wouldn't want to leave an IPad (or similar device as a base) outside if I am cooking all night. Unless you can take the base device inside and The MEATER has like a 100ft radius that it sends the signal out to.
Can you maybe try to recreate a burger from "The Harp"? Its a german-irish pub and has very unique and fascinating burgers that might actually be quite challengeing to recreate. They have an Instagram page where they post every burger and list the ingredients, called "theharplinden"! Thanks and keep up the nice videos!
This made me think about a bacon-wrapped recipe from a Anime I like watching called "Food wars", which is based in a universe where a huge, multi-billion dollar cooking school is promoting competition by having over-the-top cook-offs. At the start of the series, a young chef, Soma, the protagonist, is challenged to make a "meat dish" to a mobster-customer, after her goons have ruined all their fresh meat in their store-room in his dad's diner, in an attempt and ruin their reputation. In the pilot episode, Soma makes a smashed-potato, chopped onion and mushroom mix and wrap it all up on bacon and pours over a sauce mix of butter, soy + wine and serves it Here's a picture: i.ytimg.com/vi/GAdob1t4Nyk/maxresdefault.jpg
I really like your no-nonsense delivery. I think you are one of the best BBQ cooking channels on TH-cam.
Made this last night. Had to use Apricot preserves instead of Peach, but kept all other ingredients the same. It was amazing! Thank you for the video!
Beautiful Presentation putting the Bacon Coat on the pork loin. Cheers Greg!
Whole pork loin is my absolute favorite thing to make for holiday/family/group dinners. I do one for Thanksgiving every year (not a fan of turkey) and try a different method or recipe each time. Bacon does often find its way in to the mix, too.
Nice love what you did with the Bacon i doing this Christmas day
Now everybody can cook. Thanks Meater.
Great video.
WOW!! Freekin Awesome!! That meter is very cool, Daddy wants one. Great cook as always. 👍🏼
Excellent cook.! Looks fabulous and I have to get that probe.! THANKS for the recommendation.!
Just ordered the Meater.. Thanks again
How funny, I just did a Pork Loin on the Weber rotisserie...that bacon wrapping is such a good idea!

Such a great looking pork loin. A peachy recipe. Cheers Greg!
The first one I saw reasonably priced. Thanks Greg. This is worth buying!! Greg does it right! BTW Great cook as well!!! Thanks again.
What a great looking pork loin. I don't have a rotisserie but that will do great on my smoker. The glaze looks delicious. Keep smoking and Merry Christmas.
looks delicious Greg
and a very functional thermometer for BBQ and Cooking
Could you use the cloves in place of tooth picks to hold down the bacon ends?
Greg you never sieze to amaze me that youre really good at what you do! I enjoy watching your videos time and time again.
That I'm about to try this for a church gathering friend I imagine its pretty important to protect the bacon from direct fire with foil huh? Is that crucial in your opinion?
try stuffing inside with stove top dressing, then wrap with bacon, butterfly the loin to stuff, then tye it up, put on rotissiery
*This looks great! I have done this myself a few times but I need to try the peach glaze. Awesome job! Bacon makes everything even better.*
Yummy, looks delicious I wonder if I can just cook this in the pit barrel with the same effect

Ah man I am salivating, that looks absolutely incredible!
Greg you are not only a pitmaster you are a video master..
The rotisserie for the BGE is on my wish list this year. I got the Meater when I saw you use it last time. Good stuff and good job!
Hope to see a Meater under the tree in a few weeks.
Found your channel earlier this morning. I love your vids and gotta tell you that this vid in particular is my favorite. That pork loin looks amazing. I dont have a green egg but maybe I could try baking it in the oven. Thats how my wife usually cooks pork loin when we have it.

I always hear him say that he's rocking 'the big grenade'! We've been trying to get those Meater thermometers, but decided to wait for the Meater Block.
I really want a meater too!
Big green egg, but I guess big grenade works too.
HA! At first I thought he said "big grenade", too!

The meater seems extremely nice. Must look into that as well.
Looks Delicious!
If you have a regular gas grill with a rotisserie, what temp setting do you recommend? Low, Med, med hi? Thanks
Greg, you are the MAN.
After Christmas I'm definitely gonna get one of those MEATER's. Anyone that has a rotisserie, especially, needs one. Definitely more involved when recording the cook. Just curious why you didn't go direct over the coals with the JoeTisserie?
Great job Greg. 2 weeks ago got pork loin on a one day special for a ridicules price of 99 cents a pound. Definitely going to try this.
Great looking pork loin and I loved that glaze you mixed up!!! Great idea adding some cloves to the pig too!! I'm really impressed with the Meater probe. And yes, who doesn't love bacon? T-ROY COOKS 'Meater' needs to send yourself and Justin a test unit, perhaps someone can put in a word.
that's some cool meter !! was the fire out there close to you ? what's your daytime job ? keep the videos rolling
So how many hours does it take to cook this ???
Looks good as always
Another great video, Greg!
Thanks, my meater is on the way.
That looks awesome! So no seasoning on the loin at all, either before or after the bacon blanket?
Looked great, only thing missing IMHO was a little rub directly on the pork before wrapping with the bacon
Hey Greg what a awesome cook on that loin! Love me some pork loin! Love the channel brother! Great video!
Great cook brother
Going to make this tomorrow (9/26/20) with my Meater probe
How much whp and tq did that loin put down?
hi were can iget one of those probe pls what webb sit too thank you

Liking that meter. No cords. I hate cords. LOL. Great cook.

cool now they can track what and how you cook!
I love your videos, nice and clear, delicious food. I’ve been looking into getting a Meater. How has the Meater worked since you’ve uploaded this video, any issues?
Looks good. Too bad about free shipping to US customers only.
I can’t find the code for the meter
Hey Greg, this is funny watching this video, because I just ordered mine on the 10th and is being delivered on the 15th. I ordered it because I have the CB rotisserie for the Weber kettle... anyway the pork loin roast came out looking fantastic and was done to perfection... Thanks Chris : )
we used to throw some meats on the BBQ and let it cook a half hour and turn o0ver while drinking a coke on ice ...
So beautiful 😍 love this recipe
Amazing video my friend! great job c:
It looks amazing Greg! :-D

coupon code doesnt work :(
You had me at bacon!
I ordered that temp probe (The Meater) as well. Can't wait to try it out!!! Should have called it ThermoMeater.
thomas cocker: I thought they should have called it that also or the Meater Reader.
Bahahaha yeah thats a good one too
what ipad games you got?
great job Greg that looks fantastic.
On a side note, in my opinion it would help with video continuity if you covered the digital clock on your microwave. I'm not sure why seeing those time stamps distracts me so much haha
Love your channel . I hope you tube doesn't screw smaller content creators over . they have been getting rid of smaller channels ability to collect ad money . sucks
I just came across a Facebook page that reposts edited versions of your videos called "NTD Taste Life". Just a heads up.
You should try a Burger priest recipe. It's owned by a guy that has opened a few locations in the Toronto area in Canada. They make five guys look like crap and have some great burger toppings. You don't want to leave the iPad or iPhone near the bbq. The heat generated by the grill is probably beyond what the device is rated to take...
Omg looks 👍
I don't eat pork, but looks good
The 3rd Harbaugh brother can cook
The coupon code BALLISTIC does not work
I take that back . It works after entering the shipping information
Great..now I need a wifi connection to BBQ
Where can I get me one of those Big Grenades?
Lo que me gusto mas es la modelo. ¡¡¡una Serbesita!!! jaja todo se be mui rico animo.
Read the reviews for "The Meater" on Amazon. Many people report real problems with it.
awesome vid! bummer there not honoring your code but I understand the vids 2 years old though.
how did man ever cooked with out a dam phone LMAO i want use em
Aw, I'm late to the party again. and, double aw, I don't have a smart phone and only a cheap-o LG tablet... But the pork loin looks great! 😀

Delicious !!! I have as well a pork tenderloin recipe, if you want to check it out
Looks good Greg but I really need to stop watching these after Dinner. making me hungry!
So I need to leave iPad outside in the environment, dew, rain, snow, and sun

John here didn.t see much juice
Why haven’t you started a restaurant?
Made this and it was juicy but kind of bland. I expected more from the glaze.
