Dearest Heather, with each build you bring us new and creative ways to take our works to greater heights! This piece is no exception! In fact it is INCREDIBLY GRAND!! This year is going to be fantastic for the whole Miniature Community, Ara - I can just feel it! So looking forward to your video tomorrow - seeing a glimpse of the adorable project on Patreon was such a treat. Fingers crossed that Phase Two for this piece is successful! 😜

Hey Carmenlita! Looks like your machine can cut little dashed lines, instead of using a scoring tool, but to perform the same function. You would change the line 'type' in your CanvasWorkspace. As long as the machine can cut cleanly through 'cereal box' weight chipboard, you should be good to go! xoxo

Just curious. The foam board I get here. (In the UK) I have to soak before I can remove the outer layer? Is that a specific type of foam core that it just pulls off?
Hi Chris - yes, it is - the cheapest, called ReadiBoard, from The Dollar Tree here in the States and in Canada. I found a thread that may offer a good substitute in the UK: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1975505-Dollar-Tree-Foamboard-in-the-UK
I have a 1 1/2 scale dollhouse I was going to make a spooky dollhouse. I have had it for 3 yrs but I keep running into ideas problems that make me stop. I was thinking about getting a Circuit to use on floor and furniture. Everything I am find is in a larger scale. Is there a way to make these ideas come to life for such a small scale dollhouse? There are a lot of great ideas but this scale is small.
Hi Jamie! Your project sounds very cool. When you say: 1 1/2 Scale, do you mean 1/24th Scale (.5" =1') or do you mean Play Scale (1.5" = 1')? If you mean Play Scale, where everything is large enough for most action figures or fashion dolls, then the cutting area of the Cricut Maker is sometimes too small to accommodate the size of cuts required, resulting in the necessity to come up with ways to piece together the larger panels. If you mean 1/24 Scale, then it is usually possible to translate the designs down by a factor of 50%, and to use multiple layers of cardstock, rather than chipboard. My friend Robbin does this routinely, and the results are fantastic! xoxo
@@jamiepolyblank3177 Scale talk is just inherently confusing, my friend!😜 You have nothing to apologize for...so, I hope my previous answer helps clarify: it IS possible to reduce the designs by 50% - with some adjusting of materials it usually translates pretty well. xoxo
Hi, Heather, I would like to make this (and a lot of your other stuff for my collection of 1/6 scale knights. Can these files be enlarged and still use the cricut?
Hey, Rob...you can totally enlarge the files, but some of the individual components might need to be cut from 12x12" material. I would love to make some props for 1:6 Scale photos! Where can I see your knights?
Sandwiching the foam core is a great idea, and you have much less waste. Always a plus.
