To be fair to Kaiba's movie deck a lot of those cards had broken effects that were changed or never released. Like Pyramid of Light in the movie banished all god cards on the field but in game it does jack shit. The other big one Deck Destruction Virus sends 10 random cards from the opponents deck to the graveyard whenever a dark fiend with 500 or less attack is destroyed by battle and that was never made a real card for obvious reasons.
I’m team Yugi till the day I die and even after. I always loved the premise of Yami and Yugi working together to take on any foe as essentially a two-in-one combo. The pharaoh always had that CONFIDAUNCE. Not to mention the mind crush shenanigans early on.
Tbh if they were playing with 4000 LP lucky the anime too then things would have been wayy different. There is an option for that in the settings if I'm not mistaken.

I like the idea of Yugi just doing a bunch of straight up cheating shit like replacing Kaiba's deck or adding trash cards to it, or like, just straight up taking cards from his hand, but it's made as if Yugi's the protagonist doing protagonist shit. Like, he puts a random De-Fusion in Kaiba's deck before the tournament and then when Kaiba draws it, he's like "You should've believed in your cards, Kaiba..."
