Turkiyë is making some great products! TISAS seems to have hit it out the park with this one for the price. For what you pay for, you could use the savings to do a trigger job, get more ammo, or get a red dot and still spend less than the Prodigy.
I like that the Tisas 2011s at least try to keep the original aesthetic. Some of the other 2011s look good but imo a lot of them are overdesigned to the point of being hideous.
Halfway through the review I was expecting some Barry White background music to fade in. You are in Luv dude! Looks like a lot of "2011" for the money. Great video 👍👍
Tisas is a solid company from my personal experience with their guns. I feel like they are a safe brand to purchase in the budget to quality aspect. I own 3 and traded off 4 others that I used to learn to tear down and customize 1911 models.
I’m so glad I picked one of these up. Punches well above its class. Pretty nice shooting out of the box but After a lighter recoil spring as well as a lighter main spring, its butter smooth. Good video.
I had the opportunity to shoot a Tisas Duty 9 and a Colt Trophy Cup both brand new just lubed and loaded. Both had creepy 6#+ trigger pulls which did not allow for very accurate shooting. After about 30 rounds each accuracy, such as it was, was about equal no complaint there. Not match quality but the best the trigger pull would allow. However the Colt had its problems. The thumb safety was gritty asndvery stiff. The adjustment screw on the rear sight was stuck and would not turn. The Colt wins hands down for beauty, but he Tisas wins for utility. Sam and John must have been rolling in their graves to have something like that come out of their shop. The Tisas just worked as advertised no worries.
Great review as always. I love mine. Only issue I had was steel case ammo. When I did some upgrades I just got the ones for the prodigy and they worked perfect! Can’t believe they are selling these for this price! I’m not sure I want to know how they do it 😂
My Tisas single stack 45 is very reliable. I’ve got about 5,000 rounds through it. I don’t trust double stack 1911s or single stack 9mm 1911s regardless of who makes them. I think they’re a cool “fun” gun. I would never trust my life to a double stack 1911.
@ I speak from my own personal experience. It’s well known that the most reliable 1911 is a 5 inch 45 with a GI guide rod. The 1911 was designed for the 45 ACP cartridge. When you start messing with the original design you run into reliability issues. But as for the double stack pistols, you greatly complicate the design by switching the caliber and making it feed from a double stack. Some of them run great, but even those are extremely finicky and I get a malfunction, one for every 100 rounds on average. That’s why I wouldn’t want to trust my life to it.
@ My recommendation is, if you want a 1911, buy a 45 caliber 5” single stack. If you want a double stack 9mm, go buy a Hi Power, a Beretta 92, or a Glock. I may be biased because I cut my teeth on the 1911 and have only carried 1911s in my life. That being said, I really am biased but I have a ton of experience and knowledge on the platform.
You can field strip and re-assemble a 1911 without going through the front. Of course you still have to snag the swinging barrel link with the slide stop.
@@wyominggunproject Many object to the relatively involved process of field stripping the 1911 as compared to other pistols. I've always found it to be therapeutic and calming.

Way less 🤠
Nice gun. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. But what really blew me away was another video out in the snow.
That was for you my friend. 🤣
I think it’s crazy that you can get this model for $550 now.
And the 2025 model is MSRP for $750 with more features.
Yep. It’s nuts 🤠
From where
@@BigEarl-kf4fk Battlehawk Armory has them. 🤠

I actually agree with you on that. 🤠
My dad has this one, I have the 2011 night stalker. We love Tisas

I agree. They are great 🤠
Very nice gun. Cold and snow, not so nice.
True 🤣
I'll take the lack of a full size rail for an attachment I'll never use or carry for the non mim parts. Very nice gun.
Agree. The compact lights work just fine. 🤠

Now that one id put a red dot and light on. Not a huge fan of red dots, they work but... that one deserves to be kitted out to me.
Stay tuned. You never know what could happen 🤣

It's pretty for sure.
Wyoming. I was close.
🤠
And want list.
I dig it. Is it staccato, no. Do you need to spend thousands on a decent 2011, no.
Exactly
Utah?
NO more 1911s till someone manufactures a slide where the barrel can be inserted from the bottom like all other modern pistols.
You can field strip and re-assemble a 1911 without going through the front. Of course you still have to snag the swinging barrel link with the slide stop.
Why does it matter how you disassemble the pistol?

Would you carry this gun?
I would in the hoodie and coat weather.
Maybe if it had a bobtail cut.
My full length handgrip leaves a footprint protruding through my concealed carry coat.
