  • Joshua Muskin is Senior Director of Programs at Geneva Global, a US-based philanthropic consulting company. Most recently, Dr. Muskin served as a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, conducting research on learning and learning assessment in the Center for Universal Education. He also provided leadership to the UNESCO International Bureau of Education on its General Education Quality Analysis Framework. Previously, he served as Senior Programme Officer for Education at the Aga Khan Foundation and led the five-year Advancing Learning and Equity for a Better Future (ALEF) project in Morocco, among other roles. Dr. Muskin has worked for over 30 years across Africa, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Central and South Asia for multi-lateral, bi-lateral and nongovernmental organisations and has taught at several universities. He has advised and published in the areas of informal sector employment and training, teacher training, gender equality in education, entrepreneurial education and others. He is also interested and active in the broader issues of relevance in education and training for students’ greater future personal and professional engagement and satisfaction, of communities of practice as a vital pathway to teacher professional development and the improvement of education quality in the classroom and of ICT as a tool to strengthen teaching and learning.
