Yeah. W900L came out it the 80s and the cab was just different.
That brownish color looks a bit like what they used to call "Burnt Orange", from 1984 or '85. I first saw that color on a new 1985 K100E at the old Madison Kenworth store in WI. Loved it then, and the fact that they're still offering all the old paint schemes.

I'm not a truck driver at all, I'm just a guy with who likes Kenworth trucks and plays ocassionally ATS.
The W900, T800, T660 and the T680 with modular cab were a daily thing to see here in Mexico. All of them are nice looking trucks and the new T680 next gen is just spectacular, can't wait to see one on the road.
Always wondered how great could be to drive one of these trucks and to know how many features they have from the inside. Your videos are just perfect, even for me that I'm not a driver, you explain almost everything in detail.
About the truck shown on this video. WOW, the livery and colors is just awesome, old school style.👌🏻

I might be a W990 guy, but dang it! This truck turned out awesome! Not a fan of brown, but this color combo turned out fantastic. Good job there Andy!👍👍

Our salesman for some reason didn't think that the W990 turning radius would be that great, but this truck turns just as good as the T880 that I drive before it. I have a coworker who drives a T800 and my W990 turns way better than theirs and the T800 has the set back front axle. My truck has impressed me with how good it turns.

If I'm not mistaken according to Kenworth the W990 has a lil bit better turning radius that the W900.

For driver convenience, it is actually better to have the fill cap on the outside, away from the cab, just like you have it set on this truck.
On another note, as awesome as this truck is, I can only imagine how bada$$ this color would look on a W900 tri-axle. Very cool color style!

It's a nice truck the only thing that I would have done different is I would have went with a lite brown dash pad and tan interior

This truck turned out great. Love that 70's feel of the paint job. All this emissions stuff destroys an engine. There's just no need for it. I wish our elected officials would realize this.

Love the retro mod paint scheme. I never liked the browns that were used in the 70s and 80s but I guess tastes change with time. Handsome truck! That said I do not like the interior plastics in the cab. Seems really cheap and flimsy compared to Volvo and Mack. Thanks for the review!

Gorgeous paint scheme....reminds me a lot of my '85.....and the 007 series back in '90-'91. As much as I like this truck....I'd still want the 86'' areodyne studio. Once you've had one, (or 6) nothing else will do.

Kenworth,Especially W-900 are of the highest class to me. Take the 379’s,T-600,800 series the W-900 stance is #1 has stayed the same. It’s like plagerizing the. Bible to go off the standard to much.......Nice job on color selection. None of the crazy mural stuff. Maybe some ghost pinstriping would of been nice but not nessacary.

This is a nice W900 but it's missing a lot my old 2005 2 million mile W900 puts this one to shame and that's sad to me. Seems Peterbilt still allows for a gazillion gauges and switches . I understand the eco X15 vs the big 605 hp in Canada but nope.

Here I am in my 2000 w900 and youre in a 2022. And there is absolutely no difference in the sleeper. Lol.i guess if it works dont change it. Lol. Other then mine is gray and pin tuck. Beautiful truck.

👍🥰 hermoso cómo siempre el KW -W 900, ( el clásico trompudo,como cariñosamente le llamo), un camión como ese,solo para los grandes y verdaderos amos del camino 👌, lamentablemente hay personas que no lo merecen,y también empresas que contratan personas no capacitadas para el máximo desempeño y cuidado de estos camiones, es necesario no solamente la experiencia , sino también la actualización y conocimientos básicos de operación y mantenimiento preventivos,así como estar familiarizado con todos los componentes de estas unidades por parte del operador, y así lograr sacar el máximo desempeño cuando verdaderamente se ocupe.

Good to see it has a stick! Are they still popular there? Most kenworth in Australia are manual. But there are more automatics coming through. Mostly from fleet company’s.
I’ll take a hard pass on the factory exhaust elbows and no auxiliary reversing lights, plus the ice chunk/alligator plow bars between the fuel tanks. And honestly, having driven hundreds of thousands of kilometers in Canada during winter, any lowered tractor. And trade the factory paint for an airbag steer axle. Basically it’s a show truck, not a go truck;( good from a far, far from good.
Nice rig I drive a white and brown W9 also, my boss also has another tuck that’s two tone brown and off white with the triple strip dividing the two tone but it’s a straight line very similar though.

Good looking one but the emissions kill them, I'd rather hold on to my old one till it dies on me and rebuild and run it till it falls apart, hopefully by then they figure out how to fix the usual problems that most new trucks have.

I brought it in for "stock" (aka inventory). It was custom ordered but not for any one customer in particular.

That is a gorgeous truck!! QUESTION... why no air ride front suspension??? Shift has done a cover for the fuel tank & DEF Tank. making them look like a single tank. Have you considered doing them?
I do put air ride on some trucks, just not this one. I've seen the combo tank but never thought to actually do it.
