Wonderful interview with one of the most intriguing and creative people. If anyone hasn’t listened to WPB reading the full uncut audiobook of The Exorcist, do yourself a favor and do so. It is one of the greatest audiobook performances I’ve ever listened to. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
RIP William Peter Blatty btw, is there any way to watch the Z Channel / Fantasy Film Festival interview with great Mick Garris and the equally great William Friedkin? I guess it's taken off here
Alway felt people couldn't see past the vulgar acts Reagan did in the Exorcist. Theres a truly sad and interesting story underneath it. In a way Reagan was not the reason they were there, of course she went through a lot but in all reality the Demon was out to settle a score. Merrin for exercising that little boy and Karass just had all kinds of shit going on, poor guy, and he was easy to get to because of the things wrong with him. At least thats what i took away from it i could be wrong
Karras was redeemed in death. He sacrificed his life to save the girl. He also had come to the realization of his greatest failure: losing his faith. He loses his life but saves his soul.
I've read , i think 100 or more horror novels.
Nothing beats The Exorcist. Ever.

I've just listened to it and it really is phenomenal!
The Ninth Configuration is much more than a dark comedy. The overall idea and theme of this amazing movie is the question of divine intervention.
Nothing is like The Exorcist, one of the best films I’ve ever seen.
one of the most talented people on the planet
nah.
The great William Peter Blatty, wonderful writer!
