As far as the first wood turning project go's I remember my dad making this "ring cups" back in the early 90s with up to 5 rings on them on a much more primitive lathe, no one was impressed back then, but now people do this and are looked at like gods. It's a shame dad wasn't 30 years longer he'd have been the wood tuning God of TH-cam in the current time.
EXCELLENT VIDEO !!! No annoying noises, to the point, Excellent craftsmanship !! You have a new subscriber !! You make me want to get out on my lathe NOW !! LOL !!
You can make good senseable coasters for the purpose with that log .. All types can be resolved made for with the pencils marking the end Lifestyle best regards coasters for your self

G'day love the video, gave me many new ideas for a beginner. I was wondering is that a German or Continental chisel that you are using for most of your work. I have one and have just found out what it was called. I was wondering if you could let me know how/what grind I could use it like yourself, as I've found very little info on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I know your time is valuable. Cheers and keep up the great work and ideas from Matt on the Fraser Coast, Queensland, Australia.
I noticed that you cut the bottom off a cup while pressing your finger on it's base while cutting it off on the band saw. Please, that is a nono....practice safe wood working habits or you won't be able to play the flute with both hands....
Lots of stuff will hamper this channel progressing Even the thumbnail to your account is awful Take a look at how someone like Richard Raffan does it and try again
Nice projects but truely you could just show pictures of them. The content of the video is useless to a new turner. Explanation of tools used or something would be nice!

If you are expecting to see 50 projects, then I have bad news for you!
❤❤🎵🎵
A nice video. Beautiful projects. But not 50.
Yea, more like 100...
Very nice gobelet ❤

I wouldn’t say this is 50 projects. Also most of them are the same project with different dimensions. Entertaining video though
B-E-A-UTIFUL
The donut goblet was super weird 😬😜
Lol when that ring came off. EUREKA!
❤❤
Several of these appear to be cups or goblets. What do you finish them with when they are a drinking vessel?
👍👍👍👍👍👍
I like that goblet with the ring. Amazingly beautiful.
Thats the thing about any craft, once 1 person does it on youtube everyone copies like they came up with the idea

Thank you friend. I'm glad you liked it.
This should have way more likes than this. These are my favorite types of turning videos. IMO anyways.
100 001😉👌Great job,beautiful piece man 😊
What finish are you using?
screwing endgrain to faceplate not good idea..
Was all this wood dry? Looks like green wood.
What finish is that?
I like the video but the title is utter clickbait
👍
Thank
Biggest issue I’m having with my lathe isn’t the skill required to make stuff but the dang material to work with … not enough trees around
You must not live in Australia.
Did you mean 5 projects?
500
where did you buy this machine
Never saw a bowl gouge?

@@josemariacasasolahernandez9735 sorry mate I don't understand what you wrote. Have a good one 🤘🤘👋👋
30-45 degree, less degree = more agressive. sharpening= lots of sweep, little roll. like a fingernail
Cool stuff. But your thumbnail is pure clickbait. You didn't do anything like what the thumbnail shows. Not cool.
I didnt count 50

You must be using that "new math" for your calculations..... More proof common core math does not work.
Lots of stuff will hamper this channel progressing

what wood is the first 1
Wood - plum
