Skinny ties? Check. Creepy stalkeratzi sunglasses? Check. Miami Vice Blazers with sleeves rolled up? Check? Super Smooth Yacht Jazz composition performed by really talented musicians? Double Check. Yes, this is 1985...and I'm not ashamed to say I miss it.
Me too!
lol...Hey! Can't an '80s band catch a break? Those things are prerequisites!
Don’t forget badass mustache!!!
Searching for Lyricon and arrived here. I think I've heard this tune before. I love it; it's right in my wheelhouse.
This music goes strangely well with your profile pic.
The great Paul Soroka on lyricon!
Very underrated,
Being able to find things like this is why I love TH-cam so much! This theme is so nostalgic, but yet, I was born in 1991.
My dad co-hosted that show
Was your father B.T. Bentley, whom we saw at the beginning of this video?
Soooooo slick. Has that cool big city vibe. Can't get enough jazz!!
Great description. EXACTLY what I was thinking-- only I refer to it as 'NYC After Dark'. My musical reference.
Smooth - I really like this for the music; and I am a Baltimore native too so I remember the show.
I remember Derek telling me a story about Jerry Turner and him around this time so I'm going w/ 13.
Oh yeahhhhh, cool !!!
WOW!!
He mimed the Lyricon solo very convinvingly. Whereas the drummer didn't even attempt to mime any of the fills.
Amazing sound for no mics, no wires connected to the synth, and no amps, and the drummer not playing what we hear. LOL. Nice tune though.
Nothing lines up actually
Im curious about Dave Cararro, can anyone tell me anything about him?
Cats are nice
lol
sooooo fucking 80s and cheesy
way better than the 2000s cheesiness, fully analog and no digital shit and no pharrell or jay z jerks, like heaven!
There's a little bit more melody there in the holes of that cheese.
This is the best comment here, I love this a lot, lol 😆 ❤😊 Gratefully, Carla
