    Mike Malone and his coaching staff have an incredible team happening. The Nuggets’ high IQ game plan is so hard to guard because they have a counter for everything and the personnel to pull it off.

Dude doesn't get half the credit he deserves cause he plays on a team full of guys who excel at being efficient! I’m really glad they started to let the defense play, especially at the rim, been a lot more entertaining games going on bc of it. I wonder if the moving screen situation is next? I would love if it was lol it’s insane how every single team will commit a moving screen multiple times a game. Keeping the screen stagnant (like how they should) will make it easier for defenders to cover space. I think it’s a big issue with basketball and will also help the defense more than what they’ve done already.

  • @getthatball
    @getthatball 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    One thing I noticed between the 2 games they've played each other was the lack of Al Horford guarding Jokic. I think it's the obvious defensive matchup adjustment we can see for the Celtics if they ever meet again, with Porzingis roaming/guarding Gordon at the dunker's spot and one of Jrue or White going to sit out, personally I'm gonna go with Jrue since he's a bigger body.
    All is not lost for the Celtics. Tatum and White gotta produce even in their normal offensive output, and more Horford. I also liked how Jaylen Brown defended Murray in the 4th.
    For the Nuggets, damn, they have the best player in the world. But their bench is a game changer if they can consistently produce.

    9:13 the nuggets are letting Tatum shoot an open 3 it’s happening cuz it’s a 3 on 2 fast break. They got lucky he missed. In fact this play shows just how passive Tatum was in this game, they had the fast break and he slows down and throws a bizzare pass to Brown which almost killed the momentum entirely

    Jokic is the most complete player in the NBA.
    Other superstars have clear weaknesses.
    Lebron:
    doesn't play defense anymore
    can't shoot threes and mid range shots at a high percentage
    Steph:
    a liability defensively
    decent passer but nowhere near as good as Jokic in terms of playmaking
    Tatum:
    Plays like a shooting guard too much. Doesn't bully smaller defenders in the post. Can be turnover prone and struggles with efficiency.
    Doncic:
    bad defensively and lacks an off ball game(unless he shows it in the playoffs)
    Giannis:
    lacks crunchtime scoring and playmaking
    Durant:
    Only great at creating his own shot.
    Decent weakside help defender but not good one on one or in the post.
    Not a great playmaker and doesn't make his teammates better.

      That's oversimplifying things by a lot

    • @TrykusMykus
      @TrykusMykus 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      LeBron has over 40% from 3 this season
      Steph is often a good defender. He isn't stealing possessions as much as he did when he was younger, but when someone drives at him, he stays in front and is strong enough to contest. Steph has never had to pass, because opponents have 1-2 people ALWAYS ON HIM, so even if he wanted, he can't, but the sheer pressure his presence causes helps the team.
      Others are arguable - these two are straight up wrong.

  • @maharajahdann

    To be honest I HAAAATE these 'nBa FInaLs PreVieW' videos even though most of them mean well.
    Nobody has said that any team was destined to make it to the Finals right? So what will the Nuggets or Celtics do if one or more of their major players gets injured in the playoffs? That'll completely ruin their Finals chances.
    Theyre both good teams but sometimes they just lose unexpectedly to teams that are better strategically prepared OR they get injured and just cant perform the way theyre supposed to.
    Boston has had the highest adjustef net rsting of all teams in the regular season fror like 3 years stragiht and they only made it to the 2022 Finals cause Butler missed a 3 pointer. Its is what it is.
    Thanks for the video but maybe neither of them will make it to the Finals. Maybe they both will. Who knows for sure?
