This song is an example how a wonderful song could be, not so well picturized.
Had Sridhar got this song he would have done greater justice.

Bach - BWV 1067 Suite - Badinerie was used directly in the second interlude, Maestro used the same bit in "kaathoram lolakku - Chinna Mappilai' as well. It is a tribute to Bach by Maestro since he is a student of Bach and Baroque music. Wonderful recreation, Janaki and Radhakrishan both nailed it. Karthik's bass is mesmerizing and Shyam's mixing is flawless. I think today's song will be Darling Darling, Pudhiya poovidhu is a possibility but darling darling has the orchestral grandeur.
Thanks for the Bach piece"s name. I was trying to recall the word 'Badinerie' to search for.

Mam, you explained how Raja sir has done that tonal shift, graga bedham and all musical magic and how smoothly come back to the original melody, loved it. He has done this magic in almost every other song in 80s. For a layman like me, it doesn’t matter, we still enjoy the song and interludes to the maximum. That’s Raja👏👏👏

I just hope the original performers of this song - IR, Susheela mam, Jeyachandran sir or of other songs to at least come on live in QFR and compliment the efforts of these innovative QFR musicians and the various singers who perform here, for their herculean efforts. Such compliments will be akin icing on a cake and will encourage these performers to various higher level performances. If not live, at least a recorded compliment which Suba mam can include at the beginning of the show as she did with Gangai Amaran sir. Will they?
