@@ക്ഷത്രിയൻ-ഝ6ഡ of course it will. Its nature right, because of the climate, atmosphere. But when comes to culture i think kerala follows many things from tamil people. Once i went to south india trip, i visited lot of archeological and historical places. Then only i came to know tamil is the oldest living language also it is the mother of malayala kanada telugu. Also i heard a interesting thing that kerala girls like tamil boys and it makes the best pair. How beautiful. You guys are like father and children states

@simba1050 its not becuase of climate, its called genetics, by climate its skin tan like getting more sun lights to skin... You can see andhrapradesh peoples, there more hot climate than tamil nadu but they are more fair than tamil peoples, and you said about kerala girls its totally in your dream, the 95% kerala girls not even thinking about tamil boys, becuase they have enough selection here, some girls are fall in love to tamil boys becuase of their regular meet in office or collage, thats also happens to kerala boys and tamil girls... Its happening in all states my friend lover is a gujarati girl, its usual.. And tamil boys are fans of kerala girls, you can see in many youtube chanels tamil boys telling about kerala girls, but kerala boys not have no taste in tamil nadu girls, after kerala we impressed north indian girls because they are fair and attractive.. And coming to culture, tamil nadu have so many vomiting traditions like kuravan kurathi aatam, and half dressed karagattam 🤮 but in kerala is kathakali, theyyam, mohiniyattam all are full gentle and presentable your temples structure and our temple strucutre are fully differented... We was a part of tamil nadu, but now we have huge difference but we have no hate with tamil nadu, both are neighborhood states and we are brothers 🤗

Ancient water management system build by kings is the only reason for a other developments. Tamilnadu don't have many perineal rivers like north india, so it has use the water meticulously for cultivation. Discovering the techniques of natural water flows and channeling through canels, ponds are developed by all kings one after the other. Even cavery delta basin system is one the example but speaker not touched even a bit of it.

Tamil Nadu is the real “India” left over from the Aryan (central Asian nomads) and European invasions.
Tamil literature has the Ancient Indian stories, as in divided the Indian subcontinent into 5 major lands & its own Tamil literature (ஐந்து திணை இலக்கியங்கள்). Indians should learn Tamil to understand the “real Indian” essence of maturity & poetic history.

DMK & ADMK played a significant role in making sure economic prosperity was a core role in their reign. Ancient Tamil Nadu was strong, trading empire but modern Tamil Nadu has been excelling and improving further. I’m proud to be a Tamizhan!

Pandiyas were the ancient dynasty in Tamilnadu they were the first seafarers and had Maritime trade relations with most west , middleeast and eastern countries. They were good at perl fishery and traded valuable goods like pearls , ivory , spices etc , they are equally good at producing agricultural products. They are the longest ruled dynasty in World history . The capital of the Early Pandiyan kingdom was initially Korkai, Thoothukudi[1] and was later moved to Koodal (now Madurai) during the reign of Nedunjeliyan I.[2] . Later came pallavas, Chera , chola dynasties.

I would say good governance is the key for the kings in the south in Tamil Nadu. The kings spend effort to build key dams to channel water to fertile lands. If dams are not built then water would not get into the fields. Also temples were build for both social and economic reason. It keeps people intact, economy was built around temple governance. You should read up about Pandia kingdom (who are not often cited in major discussions on Indian kingdom) and chola kingdom governance. Mostly during these kingdom there were some Arya influence to setup a cast system which destroyed socialist governance of most Tamil kingdoms and brought about separation among themselves.

When a society is showing so much advancement in craft- that shows the rich intellectual skill. They were able to do something other than food which is a survival thing.
Now- why would the expert then assume that- people may have been in hardships?
In any kingdom- their may have been a under performing; economically backward class- what was the percentage of those people- thats the question.
When we cant be sure of it- then, only way to assume is by measuring the happiness index in general.
That why I feel- Contentment must have prevailed thats why they could practice art or craft.

The interviewee seems misinformed on certain topics. It is no shame to say I don't know when you don't know. In specific when the interviewer asks about caste culture in Chola Kingdom, he almost apologetically asks to assume. Instead he should just say, I don't know, instead of trying to glorify or deglorify something. The historical fact is the 4 varna system didn't take solid roots in Chola kingdom until the 12th century and neither did male domination. Possibly the reason why Buddhism didn't get as much traction in Chola kingdom as the two things Buddhism feverishly fought on - Caste and women subjugation were non issues in Chola and Pandya kingdoms.

I am sorry. There are lot of misconception in this discussion. Tamil Nadu is not rich is water resources or river like in North India. Only a small part of Cauvery river is flowing and that too shared with Karnataka. TN gets just 1/3 of Cauvery water. Also none of the major cities except Trichy is built around a river. eg. Coimbatore, Chennai etc. None are around a river. The small river based cities like Trichy or Madurai are not a industrial or development centre. The speaker is not having idea about facts and talk on a general perception. Highly misleading. Tamil Nadu has suddenly become rich out of sheer education, industrialisation and hard work of its people.
