    Thank you, Pavel, for posting your review of this kettlebell... I really appreciate that you included a timed example of an actual changing of the weight, which is something 99% leave out. Much appreciated!

    I love my adjustable KB! The only other equipment that compare are adjustable clubbells and adjustable macebells. Seems to be a theme here🧐
    I bought a 1kg plate to make 13 and 31kg available. I may also add a 1/2kg plate as the weights climb and become less manageable.

    • @PavelKrotovFit
      @PavelKrotovFit  ปีที่แล้ว

      It`s really good KB and I`m really happy with mine, Good idea about 1kg plate to make adjustments where needed, but even 2 kg jump in weight is more manageable for many people than 4 kg. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your KB

      Bells of Steal in Canada has started shipping an adjustable bell with 1kg and 1/2kg plates.
      Because they hadn't yet when I bought mine and I couldn't find any such plates on the open market with 1-inch (25 mm) centers, I bought 1 1/4 and 2 1/4 pound plates with 1-inch centers and drilled out material on the drill press to turn them into 1/2kg and 1kg plates, respectively. If those happen to be available where you are (though probably a niche US item) that may be an option.
      Just _maybe_ this will become a standard feature in adjustable kettlebells, since Bells of Steel is now doing it.

    Ordered mine a month ago and should receive it next week. My main reason was to have a 12 to 32 kg range for single arm work. For dual Kettlebell workouts my 20 and 24, now have a friend.
    One tip, I've seen is to top load the plates inside to match the distribution of weight.

    Great review! Personally I would just get 3 regular bells from wolverson (they are the best around since kettlebell fever went bust (black series)) - a light, medium and heavy but not if you're just starting out I guess.. If you're just starting you will go from a very light weight to a much heavier one quickly as your technique makes a huge difference with kettlebells. So yeah, maybe this is a good bell for beginners.
    Another thing to consider is that you may want to get into double kettlebell exercises and also kettlebells have fairly good resale value as they're very tough!

    • @PavelKrotovFit
      @PavelKrotovFit  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wolverson have fantastic bells. ITs great to have different weights if you have an option and space. Ether way the cost is keep adding up. Now i can bells from 8-48kg and still need more :)

    "for my morning porridge"🤣🤣🤣
    In all seriousness, though, adjustable KBs are great!
    However, they have one significant downside: If the workout/protocol requires KBs of different weights (like using different wts for OHPs vs swings vs squats) and/or use drop-sets, then we *need* to have different KBs...This is even more true for double KB work...

    • @PavelKrotovFit
      @PavelKrotovFit  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I do like big bowl of porridge. I agree, there is plusses and minuses of adjustable KBs, if you need very quick switch between bells, you might need few of them by hand. When I started working with KBs, i thought I would never need 28-32 kg as even 20-24 was heavy enough and could do plenty with that. But sometimes later I end up with loads of KBs (and spend significant amount on it). If I bought 2x adjustable KB, I could save money and space :)

    I find myself wondering if the paint on the "equator" will hold up. I think it should probably be lined with a tougher material to take up the gap, as the paint always seems to chip on these. There might even be a rubberized paint or something else worth spending, say, $5 more per bell to manufacture.

      @Gabby_02 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends. As a rule of thumb, if you could comfortably clean a 12kg kettlebell, then it would be suitable to work with for most of the basic functional exercises, since 12kg is the empty weight of this kettlebell. Hope this helps 🙂

    • @MindBodyWhole
      @MindBodyWhole ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PavelKrotovFit I agree, they will never really age. Mine have very slight rust in the handles, but this is exactly like a standard comp bell and nothing that some wire wool won’t fix (if you’re bothered). The only real con vs a standard set of bells is the speed of changing but (like you also have) it isn’t longer than a minute or more, so can be done during your rest. It can be slightly fiddly to get the plate out of the bel, when only using a few but nothing major. Overall a huge space saving. If push came to shove I could replace my entire setup to just these, a chin-up bar. Where are you based?

      Depending on your goals, you might ever only need one adjustable Kettlebell like me. There is "gym strong" and "real life strong"....I more interested in the latter. If you can swing, press, TGU, Row, Goblet Squat, and Carry with 32kg.....you will be more than strong enough to meet life's tasks and be "real life strong". At the moment I can press 20kg overhead, but I'm 62 years old on this planet and I never needed to lift anything near 20kg overhead in my life tbh. So to be able to press even 20kg overhead is even plenty to meet life's daily tasks like lifting luggage overhead on a airplane or a train. I don't find any flaws with these Kettlebells, I have other competition and cast iron bells and this has been my best purchase. The build quality will outlive me too.
