I'm traumatized by all the theories, I refuse to believe Sid and Sophie could have anything other than a friendship...Sid is Jesse's best friend and Jesse has a thing for sophie the minute he sees her... i hate it the whole ted, barney and robyn love triangle, friends don't do thaaaaaat and also I totally see jesse and sophie's chemistry.... i don't mind if jesse is not the father but she has to end up with him!

Agreed, and I am rooting for them. They have the kind of meet cute that you hope to tell grandkids about; a real, face-to-face. Yet Sophie's heartstrings are pulled hardest at the dawn of Season 2 by Ian, who was met online, with the relationship developing largely in that space before their first date. BUT (and cue Sir Mixalot, because it is a big one), we all know that writers like misdirection plays, and IMHO, the voice of the son does not exactly sound like a white guy. Sophie met 4 guys, in the pilot, and we know that one of them is the father. Going with the "guy you'd least expect" principle, my money's on Sid. Season 2 will have 20 episodes to have his marriage unfold, and will probably see Jesse and Meredith patch things up to a higher degree than what we currently know (after Season 1). Still, I will root for Jesse and Sophie to be a couple. The show is structured so that the writers may take fan feedback into account. The possibilities therefore include adoption, up to and possibly including Sid & Hannah's potential child, now that those two have married. Yeah it's not gonna be as good as 'How I met your mother' but I think if you watch it from the perspective of a brand new show instead of it being like a spin off and comparing the two it's actually not that bad and the show actually gets better after the first few episodes. This show has its' own charm. Sure, bringing in the HIMYM callbacks enhances that charm, particularly for fans of the OG show. I personally think that Season 1 of HIMYF is BETTER than Season 1 of HIMYM. In only 10 episodes, we have character and plot development that took much longer to get going in HIMYM, but thus far, there is not a breakout character like Barney, in the new show.
To be honest, I hated the first episodes…🫣 But I was bored so I watched it and it really gets better. You really like to start the characters. I’m really happy the show os getting a second season. It’s really not that bad.
It would be too easy if the father was jesse or ian because we only saw her interact with them in a romantic way. I think when we see Charlie and Sid in a romantic way with sophie it would change our perspective and would be more suprising. After 2 seasons, Sophie will get engaged to the Australian guy. But Jesse, in an act of love, will buy the photo of him fixing the car from whoever has it and give it to Sophie before the wedding. And that's how Sophie will broke up with the Australian guy and they will be together.

Jesse and Sophie belong together, the way they look at eachother is that you know it's true love. I think Jesse is the father of her son that she's telling the story too. Jesse will realise that Kissing his ex was a big mistake, that he was just angry at Sophie so he wanted to hurt her. Sophie will realise that Ian isn't the guy for her, that it will always be Sophie and Jesse. I can't wait till season 2 to see how that season turns out because season 1 left off on a cliff hanger. Can you make another tribute for Sophie and Jesse with the song Unsteady by X Ambassadors please because the fans need more tributes for them.
Sophie became lesbian and Jesse donated his sperm the her before he died that's the ending I I ever made a love story without characters obsessed with the sex all the time

BUt it's not Jesse, he may be a love interest, but I don't think that the father is dead, maybe they broke up because he found later out that he is gay, or that they aren't great together, or got an Job offer somewhere else and Sophie didn't want to move but is still in conact with him because of their child they have together and the father lives there where the son goes to college, which means, that all the males and maybe Valentina ( what I don't think) are still a possible Love interest, and not Ellen because, who watched the Last episode, sorry Spoilers, Sophie said, before she was 40 she kissed everyone in the group and her son asked her "Even AUnt Ellen?" and older Sophie said "I said everyone,"
