I first heard Gary Meskil when I bought a Best Of Pro-pain cd in the early 00s. I didn't hear Crumbsuckers until like 2 years ago. Both bands kick so much ass.
Had no idea that's what the name crumb suckers was based on. This was/is a top 5 crossover band for me. Used to listen to life of dreams a lot. Great episode ! Thanks

I used to play guitar for Miami Hardcore band, Anger. Our first show was with Pro-Pain in 1993, at The Washington Square in Miami. I will never forget that. Pro-Pain has been my favorite band for years...cheers!

B.O.M.B would be more popular but the album cover I had the tape in late 80's recorded from vinyl or something so I never seen that cover I was listing to that tape daily. Huge inspiration.
Man, I’d love to interview Gary..... have so many questions on the history of pro-pain writing songs, past band members etc.
Pro-Pain has been one of my favorite bands since '96!
I have to be honest, Pro-Pain never really gelled with me but I adore Crumbsuckers especially BOMB.

Late to the show. I would’ve asked why the album cover choice for BOMB compared to Life of Dreams cover. I’m watching now, maybe it gets asked. Love this channel
I can answer that for you! The decision to go with a band photo for the BOMB cover came from the Art Director at Combat Records at that time. The company thought it was important (in terms of marketing) for the band to be more "recognizable" for the sophomore effort and for the fans to be able to put a "face" to the music. So, I thought maybe we could do something like Dead Boys "Young, Loud and Snotty" cover (and mimic the lighting, etc.)...but perhaps we were a bit too suburban looking to convincingly pull it off. -G-

VK club in Brussels is in really bad neighborhood, i don't go there anymore. It's sad because the club is nice. And i'm so sad what happened to Gary in my country.
Both albums are good in their own way, but LOD has Bullshit Society.
