That last tip is definitely a good one, one that I need to do more of myself. Awesome video as always Stu, would love to see kore like this too.
I'm in into the fpv for little over a year with major struggles and time outs because of gear or not enough props to keep me flying LOL. I would probably say I have went through 12 lipos overall just sucking the life out of them learning how to fly through trees flips power loops and close proximity invert backwards stalls you name it. I purposely force myself to do wacky things and crashes is a must because without the flaw you can't figure out how to get better so I force it upon myself. Like taking it out of control car and steering it from the rear technically we call that drifting so I take my out-of-control quad and learn how to recover it from extreme situations. No GoPro footage, I go out to practice as much as I can now weather is looking good eith new build on the way. hopefully improve my gear and keep flying. Thanks for the tips Snake. Still no GoPro but soon as I fly out from underneath the canopy of the trees I am hoping to get recognized among fpv friends. I've been into radio control since a young age it is in my blood. I have discovered fpv I would like to join you guys and this beautiful world that we can view from fpv.

Good edit Stew and thanks for the info. I would like to add to snakes advice. I started doing a warm up on velocidrone then heading to the field and it has changed my flying tremendously. Even the first time I tried my buddies saw a huge difference and I did too.try it out I hope it helps. Cheers

Snaykeeeeyyy......so so true....very wise guy....Ive started in TALL grass and trees....I only cracked the frame once (very shitty frame) and never had to fear to do any risky moves as quad only bent a prop or two :) what I feel like - it was not said - is the fact your gear matters. Its not about the most expensive gear but somehting in the middle...what made me enjoy the hobby the most was not buying the cheapest gear :)

Since Snake mentioned he'd started racing, I'd love to see you guys hitting some gates together too. Or I guess if Snake doesn't live close by, just Cal, Trev, or those kids, Granger and Hamish. I think mostly you're out on the track alone in your videos. Would be nice to see some close racing sometimes, even if it's not serious.

Key points from snake.. muscle memory, fly the same quad, subconsciousness, fly in a familiar area you know, tuning in rates that actually is more important than trying to tune PIDS as the stock ones are pretty good and practice, practice, practice...

AT LAST!!!! ..... you finally make use of a guy who is easily one of the best freestyle pilots, AND one of the most LEGIT guys in YT FPV.
2020 here. As simulators have progressively become better and better. I will actually say that you can substitute stick time with simulators when the weather isn't for flying
I would classify myself as an above beginner. then I broke my foot and was unable to get out to fly for 14 Weeks so I did spend about 3-4 hours in the simulator every day for 14weeks.
Now were im back flying im doing tricks that I would never have dreamed about doing beforehand. and even without thinking about doing it. So yes I will say that simulators have become so good that it can actually make you a better pilot, just by flying Sim when your environment doesn't allow for real FPV.

Show us or help us by setting up a multiGp course and show us how to line those gates. Do u go over the gate and drop in or go beside the gate roll in or yaw in. How do you dive a tall tower while racing. The distance between gates are quite short, by the time u go through the first gate, u have no way of lining up for the next gate. How do racers do it?

I think this is really true, some people say °"fly like you stole it", but that isn´t true for beginners because you will end up spending more time because you loose quads and need more time on the bench then flying......
Slowly try what you can do and improve from there is the key for me, it takes time but i see my videos getting better and now i do things like i wasn´t able to to do at the end of last year :) I did´t crash while practise this stuff and that saved me a lot of time and money haha :D
And i like the last 2 minutes, they are so true, it`s just hard to start something without having that "pro skills", just look at my channel what the comments are (like piggy face :( ), but i will not stop flying because of some haters, thx to UAV Features and Snake FPV, this kind of "motivational training videos" makes new pilots wanna get better :)

Gfighters2011 more range vertically but you will never need it unless you're flying a plane at a very long distance , just gets in the way more .

There's a lot of new droners out there that's still using you're 99 drone. I did that build and now I see the difference in tech from that nightmare fc haha but it got me well on the road to today's quad. But i feel you could do another more up to date one with quality low budget parts? Would be brilliant for people just getting into the hobby.

A friend who has 18 quads love them motors.
I am using crossfire micro bundle atm and never have a fail safe. But if you're after a park flyer any other rx is good anyway 👌
