My parents were only really strict about one thing and it's that they wouldn't by me phones, ipads, computers, x boxes, playstations and stuff like that(thankfully there was a family iPad and smart tv that only I basically ever used). Whenever I used to hear younger kids talk about having their own PlayStation/other stuff I'd be a bit upset because I could not imagine myself caring about having one of those and people still said I was too attached to screens. Imagining theses kids sitting on their butts all day made me wonder what their parent were even thinking.
This might make me sound very mature but it was more like I was self aware.
I'm growing up around 2 kids like this: one had EVERYTHING: an Xbox one, a Switch, 3 IPADS, and an ENTIRE ATTIC of toys. And he STILL got mad because his 50 dollar godzilla wasn't as big as my 20 dollar lego set. The other is my little sister, she destroyed her room and broke 4 chairs over not being Able to go to the store for a kinder egg.

My little brother won’t stop crying until he gets what he wants, which is to always be right. Everytime he gets himself hurt, he blames someone else. One time, he dropped his tablet on his toe and it bruised. There was a huge spot on his toenail and guess who blamed? - my mother. She handed the tablet to him and *he* dropped it so, he started FLIPPING OFF my mother and calling her some unholy words. The worst part is that he never got disciplined for it 😔✋

Honestly, when I was younger, my sister was pretty spoiled. Luckily, was never as spoiled as the kids in this video. The problem is, if she didn’t get her way, almost nobody did. It kinda sucked.

I kinda feel bad for some of these kids, moreso the ones screaming and flailing without context of what happened before the camera turned on. I'm 20 and sometimes still act like this, pretty much out of my control, because of autism. Sometimes I just get so overstimulated and upset, especially if its because like, I lost something I can't get back or recover, and start seeing red and freak out. I'd probably kill myself if my parents had filmed and marked my behavior as "tantrums" for the whole internet to see when I was growing up.

I would say doing this is fine if you do it in a way people won't be able to recognize the kid. Also I'm autistic, but stopped doing that around 15-16 years old. Now I haven't been angry or stressed in years. Like within 3 years after I grew out of it I pretty much went 180 on the whole thing. Then again I was diagnosed with mild autism. But although it's different for everyone you might eventually grow to be more in control like I did hopefully. A key part is the people around you. My little brother is also autistic and he grows more in control each year (about to turn 12) and I think he has a high chance to do a similar recovery like me. He of course still occasionally still has outbursts, but not nearly as much as 2 years ago.
This is just straight up using your child’s distress for clout and especially the first one is just straight up being an asshole to your kid

They thought i was dying due to some now mid asthma and other illness and mental disabilities so i would get presents on her birthday and she'll got jealous. This was during the 90s yes im 30
On Christmas I said I only wanted the Scarlet version of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and my parents got me both. I cried for 20 minutes because I didn’t expect it. I was also overjoyed when they bought me socks with cats on them. If you raise your kids well enough even if you don’t buy what they want you can still give them cat socks and they don’t even need the game anymore

So as a white kid born in a foreign country but raised in the US in a city called Brockton Massachusetts, which is widely compared to Detroit. My father worked as a truck driver for years and my mother went to school. My family was lucky to even bring in $2000 a week, at best we brought in $1500 a week. So life growing up wasn't lavish in the slightest, some nights we had to rely on the Cookouts our neighbors threw every Friday and Sunday. (**NOTE** I lived in a predominantly black neighborhood too, and I knew everyone and met people I still talk to this very day.), anyways the only luxurious item we ever got was a PlayStation 3 back in 2010 and with it the new Call of Duty, The deal was we would finish our homework then video games came afterwards. But unfortunately that didn't sit well with my younger sister who is a year younger than me. She got so angry about after a year of this and decided since we couldn't afford a game meant for her she decided "If I can't play anything then no one can type mentality." And proceeded to destroy it. My father was livid, because he had spent $600 out of the $1200 check he got that week to buy us that PlayStation 3 and Call of Duty (I think it Black Op 1) and not a year later it was broken. My father was a truck driver from 2003-2019 (I was 2 when we moved to the US my sister was 1), and in all those years my father was a truck driver he was only bringing in upwards of only $2500 checks. Unfortunately as of late he's retired due to a stroke that has left him with no mobility in his left side and a paralyzed vocal chord. My mother now a masters in nursing is a Nurse at Brockton Hospital, while I myself am a Brockton Police K-9 Officer/Trainer. And I've been with Brockton PD for almost 2 years now. I'm also engaged to my high school girlfriend/sweet heart. And we both still live in Brockton fully aware the dangers of the city. But it doesn't deter us because its our home and will forever be our home.

I feel a lot of this pain myself. I can't tell you how many times my younger, more favored brother got away with things that the rest of us kids would never be able to get away with. including breaking several of our game disks apart cause we wouldn't concede to his immediate demands.

But here's the thing we lived in a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 older brothers and our parents. Granted she was given her own room (for awhile until we were in high school of course both her and I had to share the room at that point.)
Also my little sister and I are a unique set of twins. We don't look that much alike, but we look fairly similar. When I say a year apart its really just a minute. I was born December 31, 2001 at 11:59pm she was born January 1, 2002 at 12:00am. So even though we are a minute apart we are technically a year apart. Its really weird. But are the best of friends. She has been with me for every dark moment just like I've been there for every dark moment of hers.
I still remember being 6 months in on being a Brockton PD Officer and I got called out to a familiar address for a domestic. As I was driving up onto the scene I was seeing my Sister's boyfriend (ex now) at the time just shoving her, and threw a couple punches in. So I immediately called for my supervisor and said hey "this is my sisters address and her boyfriends beating her, Its a conflict of interest. What the hell can I do because I can't just sit here and watch because he might kill her, and I don't want to get into trouble for getting involved." He simply said "The closest unit was 5 minutes out, if you can safely and calmly tackle him and pin him to the ground, then do so, until then there isn't much you can do." So I did what I was given as Options.

When I got my license I didn't have a car to drive at the time. I wanted to buy my dads car off of him which was a 2013 Lexus ES, I knew I didn't have the money though. My sister for her birthday got that car when my dad got a new car. I wasn't really disappointed and instead got my sisters old car which is a 2001 Lexus RX300, I am really happy with that car and just happy to have a car in general. That car and I have been through a lot of adventures together, we've been to the mountains, beach, and to many different parks and hunting grounds. It's better to have any car than no car at all.
