Lawrence is incredible at digging deeper into certain things that TG sometimes can't see. The fact that Loz stayed near-mute this whole time showed just how incredible Brian was in this. Flawless podcast. And Ian Wright seems like a brilliant bloke. 10/10.

I always found it weird that Tony Adams said that Arsenal couldn't win the league with Wright because everything had to go through the striker. I thought that that was wholly unfair as he scored so many goals. He was injured most of his final season at the club and that allowed Anelka to come in as the main striker but it wasn't Wright's fault that Arsenal were not good enough to win the title until that season.

I agree with Ian I can't comprehend that level of greatness and humility. I really wish he didn't get cut off there and talked more about it.

@@samgeee2968 Hmmm Joe's is great but it has too much of a radio studio vibe to it, mics, screens and mic stands in the way of the person opposite etc. Brian's is much more open, much more homely and that to me is what makes TG's pods better than Joe's.
I usually listen to these when i play the ps4 or something but that was so emotional at the start i just sat back and watched the entire thing without stopping. didnt know any of the backstory to his childhood growing up what he had to deal with thought geordie & lawrence handled the interview brilliantly keeping him flowing. Best podcast ive seen yet and we are 108 deep.
Ian Wright is a legend on and off the pitch and ill always be greatful that he took the time to write a card for my cousin who sadly passed away and sign a shirt which my cousin was buried with, true kind hearted guy!

This is top notch stuff right here. Easily the best (near) two hours spent in a long while. 10/10. Watched (and own) MANY Wrighty documentaries, but have never seen Ian open up this much before. He's always open, but this interview/podcast is him completely laid bare. Which is all testament to True Geordie, and how much Wrighty obviously respects and trusts Brian.

I’m a Chelsea supporter and once at arsenal vs Chelsea Ian Wright was doing an interview. And I remember Chelsea fans were singing his name and clapping him and he clapped them back. This guy in London is just fully respected as a great guy.

I never saw him after my result and I hate that I will probably never be able to tell him how much he helped me and guided me. Great patient interview that brought the best out of wrighty. Wish it went on longer, but had my eyes opened when he spoke about what it felt like to be on the end of racist abuse, he put it in terms I instantly understood. Left the pod a wee bit wiser for it 👍
