I was once present for one of these calls that my dad answered. The conversation went something like this: father: hello? guy: hello, can I speak to the homeowner? father: speaking. guy: hello, sir. I'm from the duct-cleaning services. when was the last time you had your ducts cleaned? father: sorry, we don't have any ducks. guy: I beg your pardon? father: we don't have any ducks. the neighbours have chickens, though. guy: no! the ducts in your walls! father, jokingly: there are ducks in our walls!?

Here's a quick security tip: Consider setting up a Virtual Machine to test downloadable files in before you run them on your main system. Even if your antivirus doesn't detect the file as dangerous, it can't compromise your system and accounts that way. There are all sorts of videos explaining how they work and how to set them up, I'd recommend it when you have a chance.

Even with seemingly “legit” ones, i take caution. For example, I once had a txt sent to my phone with name of my bank saying someone tried signing into my account and to click link to confirm if it was me. It didn’t say my name, so i found it a bit sketchy and deleted message. Went directly to bank and confirmed it was indeed a scam. Was told by my bank that they don’t send link so its now easy to ignore it another were to be sent. So in short, my “filters” for scams is 1. Is my name on it 2. Is it something i am a part of 3. Don’t open links unless its from someone i know 4. Go directly to my account on separate device if it looks urgent without clicking link/file

Honestly the scammer is an awful person for believing that TH-cam restores all hacked channels. The statement is that all larger channels or channels who have a following to make a stir on Twitter get their Channel back smaller channels will often stay crypto scam channels forever and then deleted per TH-cam's policy with no restoration.
It's most likely that he's deluding himself into believing that statement to be true; to make it sound not so bad to the little conscience he has left.
I had a musician I really love and admire who was almost lost to hackers like these. Their music got me through so many hard days, and I was devastated to see their channel gone. And, they did get it back, despite being a smaller channel, but was so worried about it that they considered quitting TH-cam for good. Even if people did get their channels back every time, it doesn’t erase all the fear and stress and pain of losing something you worked so hard for, and not knowing if you can ever get it back. And the fans, while likely not having as much of a panic as the creator themself, will go through all those emotions as well. It’s a scummy and selfish thing to do, no matter how hard those scammers try to justify it to themselves. I wish they could realize that. But, even if they did, 99% of scammers don’t care about others at all

This was everything on my pc that I was logged into, amazon (with a card attached), Google accounts, game accounts, etc PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WATCH WHAT YOU DOWNLOAD Double, triple check what you download because even the most trustworthy looking links can screw you

so basically this scammer: - tried to fool sully twice - got exposed - asked to get un-exposed - got even more exposed - leaked their entire scam ring - while trying to make a collab with CG5, ended up being diss tracked by Sully, CG5, and Finn M-K What a great way to kickstart his music career!

Unsurprising that Thomas (like most scammers) has convinced himself that he's "not really harming anyone"... completely ignoring the stress & emotional toll of seeing all your hard work & income stream suddenly vanish, _and then_ the nightmare of dealing with TH-cam. Pleasant Green tries to reform scammers. I prefer to see them have their scam destroyed and get into difficulties. Excellent work, great story, and definitely an excellent song. I'm putting it on my phone to play in the car. Next time someone comes up to my car to lie and beg for money, I'll play it for them. Also no way, I’ve had scam emails come through from Pinnacle and Black Desert both (the latter I’ve genuinely worked with before so I recognised the false email immediately) - I wonder if they happened to be coming from the same scam group?

so basically this scammer:
- tried to fool sully twice
- got exposed
- asked to get un-exposed
- got even more exposed
- leaked their entire scam ring
- while trying to make a collab with CG5, ended up being diss tracked by Sully, CG5, and Finn M-K

Heads up that they may include Vtube Studio on their scam list since aspiring vtubers are already one of their prime targets (at least a target of GFX scammers on twitter which may have similar connections).

"Crypto scammer" are redundant terms. It's all a scam, some of it is just hidden better.

Unsurprising that Thomas (like most scammers) has convinced himself that he's "not really harming anyone"... completely ignoring the stress & emotional toll of seeing all your hard work & income stream suddenly vanish, _and then_ the nightmare of dealing with TH-cam. It also damages your metrics, subscriber numbers, sponsor links, etc... definitely _not_ harmless. Absolutely brilliant video 👌😎

Pleasant Green tries to reform scammers. I prefer to see them have their scam destroyed and get into difficulties. Excellent work, great story, and definitely an excellent song. I'm putting it on my phone to play in the car. Next time someone comes up to my car to lie and beg for money, I'll play it for them. Probably won't happen again until warmer weather, but it'll happen.

this reminds me of another youtuber who happened to interview a scammer like this. that youtuber literally changed that guys life for the better and helped change his path in life. these videos are always interesting when people deep dive into it
