- Blackpool isn't Blackpool without trams. We've had trams here since 29 September 1885.
But will we ever see our Heritage Trams again ride along the prom?
My house and this tram were both built in the 1930's

I am sorry for the re-upload.
TH-cam made the last version look too dark and lost a lot of details, especially the buildings. I sincerely hope you are not offended as we had some great comments and discussions.
No worries, sad to see them gone, for now, hopefully they'll be back at some point, it's what Blackpool is all about, thanks Frank 😊
@@hazelmanship7516 thank you for your understanding at the upload.
There is a good chance the trams will be back next year. We can only hope as they give character to the town
@@frankinblackpool what is the problem with them?
@@grahamjohnson4702 The council say that they are no longer safe to operate, or something like that.
Very sad - I used to love going on these trams as a child in the early 70s.
Blackpool Council have just assured us that the trams will return next year. Our local MP got involved. Seems like a nice chap by all accounts., irrespective of what side of the political fence you sit.
The double decker trams in Blackpool should remain for another 10 years I think. But what I’ve heard that is that they are getting old and Blackpool needs a change of its own tram network. So sad to hear that these double decker trams are ending their life and to be scrapped.
This version is a massive improvement Frank.
I'm so glad that I redid this again. You were right, it was too dark and contrasty. User error on my part.
Now if only the Council could do the same with Middle Walk and restore this part of Blackpool's heritage rather than letting it rot along with half of the hotels which are empty along the prom.
nice music too fits in nicely
I really like the relaxed pace of music too.
Cheers
this is really good and i heard about this on facebook
The fact that the Heritage Trams were stopping or this actual episode?
You can let me dream about the second option. 🤣🤣🤣
However the Council have seen the light, and the trams will be back next year.
@ I heard on Facebook that the heritage trams where stopping
@@Andyhelliwellphotography I gathered that. 🙂
Would have bee cool if it was the other option.😇
The balloons are as big as part of Blackpool as the tower and the pleasure beach. They CANNOT be got rid of completely, surely
Christchurch New Zealand has a fleet of restored heritage trams and so does San Francisco. In the Christchurch case there are no modern trams working amongst the old ones. Is that not the issue in Blackpool?
Who's decision was this? Do they think Blackpool or the tram operators will make more money by having a 'modern' 'dynamic' transport system for the 21st century business hub that is contemporary Blackpool? They've just lost the money of everyone who liked the trams as a museum piece or tourist attraction, you know, something that would attract tourists and their money. I was planning a trip from Shropshire just before Christmas to see & ride the classic trams before they're stopped, but I guess that's cancelled due to the lack notice about them going out of service. There's the first bit of revenue lost 🤨
Has it been suspended for short while or are the double decker trams still going to retire from service.
Wrong suspender till next year as MD say on lates press release they doing away with them 😊
