  • A quick how-to video and practical demonstration on the new parking assistance package on the 2023 iX featuring parking assistant professional with recorded path parking, automatic parking, and remote control parking via the MyBMW app. This new version of the parking assistance package takes convenience and technology to the next level and is available on all vehicles featuring iDrive8 and Digital Key Plus (see vehicle eligibility on note #1).
    If you have not seen my first video on the recorded path parking function and parking assistant professional, here is the link: • Recorded Path Parking ...
    A few notes:
    1. Vehicles eligible for this version of the parking assistance package with parking assistant professional: X5 LCI, X6 LCI, X7 LCI, i7, 7 Series, iX.
    2. NOT ALL iDrive8 vehicles come with Parking Assistant Professional which adds recorded path parking and remote control parking via the myBMW app which requires Digital Key Plus (2, 3, 4, and i4). The X3, X4, and 5 series are unavailable with Parking Assistant Professional due to the lack of iDrive8 and/or Digital Key Plus.
    3. An Electronic Subscriber Agreement or ESA is required for remote control parking via the myBMW app and also requires the activation of Digital Key Plus.
    4. Recorded Path Parking will not activate if the road gradient is too steep as I found out on my driveway.
    5. In order for the Recorded Path to be utilized and saved, you must drive or record at least 21 feet of maneuvering.
    6. The automatic parking function embedded in the new parking assistant professional can recognize painted parking lines and can park between the lines if there are 2 empty perpendicular parking spots next to each other. Prior versions of the automated parking function recognized only objects and the space between 2 objects (cars) and would park in between the 2 vehicles and not take into account the painted lines.
    Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope to see you soon at our store!

    does it follow the path exactly? or does it make little corrections to ensure it doesn't hit something?

      Great question! It will adjust the path based on what’s around it to a certain degree… from what I have found.

    Great video. I have a 2024 X5 50e. The Recorded Path seems to lose its signal once I get fully inside the garage because I never get prompted to "Save Recording". Any ideas?

      Intriguing. I’ve had this happen before and haven’t found a true fix for it as of yet. Will let you know when I find one.

    Do you need to record the second path for pulling out the garage or can you just have the first path where it reverses.

    • @GTBMW1
      @GTBMW1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Great question! You’d want to do the second path because the path needs to be executed fully. So one to go in and one to go out is what I found worked best.

    I have a narrow garage door, will it also know to fold in the mirrors if that's part of the recording?

      Good question! I don’t think it does unfortunately.

    Hi. I don’t see the remote control parking on my app like yours. How did you get it on your front screen?

      Great question! Usually it’s populated as the first option… I’m not too sure why it doesn’t show up for people sometimes…

    how does the car find a parking spot?

    • @GTBMW1
      @GTBMW1  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The car finds a spot utilizing the cameras and radar sensors in the car. It uses that data to read the parking lines of the spot as well.

      @@GTBMW1 heard from my friend who drove an x7 demo vehicle and it crashed into another car, while parking with this feature,. ofcourse my x7 is also behaving weird, where it goes thru y path when i expect it to go through x path (recorded), and upon deletion of the recorded path assuming its not working perfectly, and making a new recording making it more worst than the previous,. it hit my flower bed which got broken/destructed,. weird,. no six sigma testing seem to have been done by the guys at bmw.
