  • Sutter, California's Logan Seavey is building an impressive resume for himself, one that includes back-to-back Chili Bowl championships plus USAC national titles in Midget and Silver Crown competition. Add the USAC sweep in Silver Crown, Sprints and Midgets at Eldora in 2023, an ARCA stock car victory on the DuQuoin Mile Dirt and a POWRi championship in 2017, and you have one of the most noteworthy resumes in open wheel competition today. And get ready to add some dirt late model racing in 2024 to his busy schedule which already includes some 130 race events this year alone. In this year's Rollie Beale Classic at Toledo Speedway, please enjoy and in-depth interview with Seavey coincides and conversations with Taylor Ferns and 7-time USAC Silver Crown Series champion Kody Swanson, who on this day set yet another all-time USAC record with his 6th straight Silver Crown victory at Toledo...all that and much more! Thanks for your support of the History Mystery Man...

    While I enjoy your "lake" videos during the winter, I always look forward to the summer when you take us along on your trips to the race tracks. You were able to get us some interesting conversations with Logan, Taylor and . Even though drivers are often busy on race day, you are obviously knowledgeable about racing as well as the person you are talking to, and as a result, they are willing to take some time with you.(As soon as I saw the two police officers, I knew you would thank them for their service -- you're always considerate enough to take the time to do that.)

    Thank you HMM for doing the interviews and posting the video. USAC is one of the best kept secrets in racing and anything that can be done to help promote it, is greatly appreciated. Sad that all 3 of these talented racers aren't more well known. Kody Swanson and Logan Seavey are both badasses that I would love to see in NASCAR or at Indy and I'm so excited that Taylor Ferns is giving Indy NXT a try (embarrassed to say this is the first time I heard about this).
    You are lucky that you are quite a bit closer to most of the USAC races than I am. The only race that wasn't a really far drive was when they had the USAC Sprints at Weedsport, NY. Also seen the last Silver Crown race on the Syracuse Mile (don't get me started on that track's fate!). I haven't been to Toledo Speedway since Mike Harmon was running ARCA and seeing the Silver Crown cars run there in this video reminds me what a nice facility it is, and also by short track standards it's quite large and fast too!

    • @HistoryMysteryMan
      @HistoryMysteryMan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks again, Gregg. I'd like to travel out to NY sometime soon and see some racing...some of the Big Block Mods and such...and upstate NY is such a beautiful part of the country. Went to Watkins Glen with ARCA way back when. Kody and Logan are amazing racers...and quality men to boot. Oh the Syracuse Mile! I've been there...saw some USAC Silver Crown (Champ Cars back then) racing there in the early 70s. Rollie Beale drove for my dad and we would typically make one trip to Syracuse each season. Damn shame it's gone. Toledo is super nice...reaching back to 1960 when it was dirt...lots of cool history. Thanks for your support...HMM

    sevey is a fast up and commer in just a few seasons, but hes always a foil to my favorite drivers more often then not, I prob dont give him a fair shake, but hes done no easy feat at eldora at the 4 crowns, and chili bowl a heart condition thats crazy, but I guess superman guys are still human too, to me hes too good maybe too good and I stated so at the 4 crowns, after getting his autography and he asked me who my drivers were I stated and he said jokingly I hope " yea well I hope beat them, no I hope I waste them or something out there or something like that.
    sevey is right the silver crown series is a whole season there are some very powerful dirt and very good pavement specialests out there, santos, swanson, roarig is in the mix when he races, grant and leary are good, ferns bryson and bischak are always fast
