- Who has the biggest guns in the game? Shikishima? No longer. Jackie Fisher's dream has become reality - a fast battlecruiser without armour, but the biggest guns anyone ever dreamed of.
Even by WG standards a ship of this size having an 8km surface detection is ridiculous…

Well, I suppose we should be grateful they made the surface detection of the longest battleship “just” cruiser level rather than destroyer level…
But she has the shortest range among all T10 BBs😂 personally I’d rather exchange her surface detection for a 15km range

I think it depends on what style of BB play you are used to. You can’t play it like most RN BBs - but it would seem that playing it like the new KM battle cruiser line would work to its strengths.
I never get more than the 1+1 crate offer, but this time I was remarkably lucky and got the ship. In early trials speccing it like I do with the Odin (turret traverse, speed and traverse speed, though I’ll try concealment too) seems to be an interesting option. And I’ve never stealth torpedoed a battleship in another battleship before. 😂
This reminds of a Repulse which is a extremely amazing ship. And then make a tier ten super Repulse and give it 4 or 5 torps

I managed to get Incomparable and it is a fun ship. The guns are amazing, they hurt a lot. I also did notice the bug where if you single fire the torps then an extra appeared but I thought that was only me. This ship is fun to play (not fun to get shot at). I tended to get consistent citadel hits with the guns and would be hurting Yamato's and other ships. I play my Incomparable with precision mod and steering, which while I did consider concealment, I just thought I would be firing my guns so there is no point in that. Propulsion in slot 2 because it has good acceleration so that one was a no brainer for me. I do feel glad I got it, I like it a lot.

I'm still slightly on the fence about concealment as well. That said, seeing what those guns can do up close, it might be worth it, I think they're both legit builds
@@FunandGameswithTerry Agreed both builds work. Yea those guns are terrifying. 9K damage from a citadel is insane. I wanna see what a Citadel Crisis does to a full health BB. I'm sure you can almost delete it. I wanna try that now lol.

She is Heavily Armed but lightly armoured ship. My biggest issue is the main battery firing range.
In base capture matches, Yamato and Vermont can just sit 16 kms away and easily destroy her with relatively big guns. Plunging Fire would hurt her a lot.
IMO, Großer Kurfürst is the best bb ship to fight against the Incomparable. GK has 457 mm guns with faster reload time.
Even if incompatible citadels the mighty GK, the 25% citadel protection would reduce the damage significantly. GK has a damage reduction of 24%.
Incomparable has citadel protection of 12.5% and damage reduction of 12%. They are exactly half of what GK has (25% & 24%).
This is not a ship of the battle line. I play her much more like a cruiser. You can't sit in your base and snipe with this, which makes her a bit niche, because like you said, she won't work well in static battles, but shines in more mobile engagements.
@@FunandGameswithTerry Even if the Wargaming "generously" offer the Incomparable in a bundle for about 150$, I wouldn't buy her. When WG comes out with A German or American BB with 508 mm guns, I'd buy it.
Why would I need her when I have Großer Kurfürst, Vermont and Yamato. They all have big guns too 😂.

Designed as a “large light cruiser”, Incomparable is so lightly armored that most battleships in her tier spread can overmatch her thin 25mm bow, possibly penetrating her citadel.

And big ass guns which can give 10K citadels.
Neither GK, nor Yamato or Vermint can do that.
I feel like shikishima is better despite the other perks of incomparable. Not sure if you can completely delete ships in incomparable but I have in shikishima from full health to none. Granted it was a Smolensk (very satisfying). But I feel like shikishima would be better in everyway. Just watching you play it looks like the shells don’t have that oomph not sure if it’s just British ap isn’t good or slightly smaller guns than shikishima or just something else. Could you do a video why shikishima has more oomph to the shells than incomparable?
There is just something immensely satisfying in sinking a Smolensk isn’t there… one of my favourite moments was to surprise a Smolensk with its pants down in my Siegfried, sinking it in short order with a combination of main guns, torpedos and those oh so magnificent 128mm GK auto secondaries.
I played one match with you when you were using the Incomparable, my right flank was obliterated …
Did that happen to be a Musashi on your flank? If that's the case, I remember which one that was...
@@FunandGameswithTerry Indeed, a Musashi was there. I was in the FDG that tried to back that flank up, but I guess I was late to that flank.
Great video.would love to get it but if its not a bundle or guarantee crate..I can't risk the 1.50 percent chance more often then not u end up spending few hundred bucks on crates.dont get me wrong bundles are to much too and guaranteed crates too.hope it comes around in a bundle with both camos.yet WG don't always bring there ship around.prinz etil Fredrick and dreadnought and others haven't been for sale for at least a year.great video and info Terry! thank you.
Even if they don’t do a guaranteed crate in the future, they will most likely do another crate where the percentage is somewhat higher. At least if past behavior is predictive.

Now available as a guarantee create. 50x at 2500 gold that is quite a price to get this ship. Approx 3x £90.
I'm having flashbacks of Repulse watching this. Very similar in many regards except Repulse doesn't have torpedoes.
I'm currently testing how far you can whale this thing by adding premium heals and a 12 point legendary captain
Having played this ship a bit now, and I must say I find it to be a bit of a hit and miss. If the opposition side lets you play to its strengths, you can cause monstrous amounts of damage - in my first battle I did 117k. But god help you if you get focused by other battleships, you don’t stand a chance. And it has pretty short range, which means sometimes you have to expose yourself to the risk of getting focused as well. The speed and concealment do help you get into positions to surprise, but in any battle with a CV concealment won’t help you.
That said, few people expect a RN battleship with torps. Quite often destroyers have gotten a bit careless in approaching me expecting to only to worry about pens from main guns and some frankly a bit weak secondaries, only to be met by five single fire torpedos and sinking them.
So overall I agree with Terry - it can be very frustrating in battles, though when it works it works spectacularly well.

In a mino, i really did not appreciate my meetings with that boat... Off topics Terry (or anybody =) ) what skills for lvl12 commander on my Mino? Protection to reduce citadels and fires (if not broken as the module) or big game hunter? Does the protection add an extra 10% of fire resistance or 10% of the current value?
I have to test that captain skill, my instinct would be to go with big game hunter, the only class I'd consider the defensive skill on would be a tank BB (again, pending test if it actually works).
i wonder why theirs not a captain skill for detection like on PC?
I would love to see they replace the mostly inapplicable unstoppable skill with the stealth captain skill.
Yeah, that'd be great. There are some pretty useless skills, although not as bad as with the modules
For me it would not be as useful in blitz as it is in the pc game. Smaller maps, the need to fire your guns a lot and cv planes combined with rushing bots would make it pointless on large ships in most matches.

Well, Jackie Fisher was First Sea Lord at the time, so pretty literally the boss man. And he had particular ideas about what mattered, and armour wasn't one of them. Probably better for everyone that this didn't end up being built
@@FunandGameswithTerry So our boy Fisher have a need for speed but comes with big guns. Kinda reminds me of Churchill and his oversized Cruiser (The high tier ships British heavy cruiser line were prettey much his idea and plus the Cheshire was concidered as an export option for the Greek)
technically shiki still has bigger guns ( 510 mm vs 508 mm )
Which begs the question: why does this ship buck the trend of Japanese BBs having higher damage AP than UK ships and have a higher AP damage than Shiki, which has bigger guns?

@@general_doolittle maybe, still kind of ticks me off a bit.
Penetration isn't necessarily just coming from a single factor. Barrel length, muzzle velocity, shell characteristics etc also play a role. So it's not quite out of the question for a lower calibre shell to have better stats. That said, both guns are hypothetical, so... As for game mechanics, Hood is an AP ship as well, and I've heard good things about Thunderer AP.
@@FunandGameswithTerry yeah, but we are talking vs Shiki… as good as some UK BB AP can be, (Hood, Vanguard) for it to have greater AP damage on paper than the massive Shiki shells when the trend is for Japanese BBs to have better/higher damage AP than UK BBs is a little annoying to me. Also, we can’t pretend that there aren’t obvious marketing reasons to do this.
On a somewhat separate but related subject. The AP pen nerf to Shiki a while back was stupid. 510 mm should not be bouncing on medium armored targets at range… not even sometimes.

Well, while the Queen was English, she would be officially the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as head of the Commonwealth, if I'm not mistaken, which includes the little former penal colony I happen to inhabit right now.
Conflating "England" and "Great Britain" used to be pretty common in Germany, where I grew up, hence the occasional lapse.
At this point….I’d call it Im comparable, no one can compare to this. But is it worth the crate gambling? Probably not

The amount of overpen shots by the enemy is hilarious your extremely thin for a bb
I actually find that you can use the excellent propulsion to get ranged BBs to either overshoot and, at best, overpen your bow, or do the same thing in the stern section. Almost like you'd do in a cruiser.

@@FunandGameswithTerry i actually chose a random ship that could be destroyed by Incomparable easily, and I guess the Thunderer was in my head because of it. Incomparable just seems to be good enough, overpowered guns, weaker armour type of thing.
Really depends on situation and skill. Thunderer is quite good since the last buffs. The Incomparable could be meme style effective in the right hands, but like Terry said, much of it’s effectiveness will be determined by the skill of both teams. If I had both and were facing a skilled team I would probably take Thunderer over it most of the time.
I had an Incomparable gun for me in my Stalingrad on epicenter the other day. He hit me hard with his first concealed salvo, I methodically sunk him after that.
Doesnt really look like my type of ship 😐
