I lost my job after 2 days. To be fair, it was only a temporary job and I was only supposed to be there for a few weeks. Apparently they "thought I was not a good fit"? They didn't even have the decency to tell me to my face or to give me any warning; I received a phone call after work was over for the day, saying I was "not a good fit" and that I wouldn't be working there anymore. I did my best work and put forth my best effort; I think I asked too many questions, I think that's what I did wrong. And I was a bit slow I think. But I was still learning how to do things and was not used to it yet. 2 days. Are you kidding me?
People get fired for the DUMBEST things all the time. I knew a girl who said she was fired from a juice place because she supposedly didn't put a lid on right. Interestingly, I ended up getting a job there after being sent by an agency, and was there for about an hour, when the agency called and said that they thought I was too timid-actually I was already working the register and greeting customers in one hour. Turns out, it was the same girl who fired the other girl. That place is no longer in business. Also, people fire people for reasons that are quite literally not their fault. You would think that at some point, there would be a law to protect people from damage like that, because sometimes when person loses a job, it can be financially devastating, but, yeah, people get fired wrongly.
Love your video and so glad you learnt that you were not alone in this situation, and know that it wasn't your fault. I once worked at a kitchen with the angriest chef in the WORLD. I was young and it was only my 2nd job, and my first time working in that kind of environment. I had literally no experience at all. From the beginning, the chef did not stop yelling at me, she was absolutely terrifying and made me cry every single day, and she would yell at me in front of other people for really stupid things. Once she told me to fetch some rubber gloves from a cupboard, I went to the cupboard and saw some rubber gloves, so I picked them up, and she went ape shit "THOSE ARE CLEANING GLOVES WE DONT USE THOSE FOR FOOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Turns out the gloves she wanted were a different colour and underneath the ones I picked up. It went on like this for 4 weeks, I was terrified to move, terrified to speak, because every time I did she would just get furious and shout. And she would just expect me to know everything without being taught. I didn't want to quit because same as you, I didn't want to admit to not being able to hold the job. However, finally one day, I was crying as usual, trying to keep it hidden, and she shouted at me again, and I just BOLTED out the door. Never went back, ignored their calls, got a new MUCH BETTER job working at a pub literally a week later. The only good thing, is that every job I've had since has seemed soooo much nicer and easier.
that was their fault at their part for not telling you about the meeting,I would say don't let it get you down,but it's ok to feel sad and angry about the situation that you had no control over *hugs*

He also told her about this amazing employee and had her show reed around. The "amazing" employee would tell a rule, then tell her how to not get caught disobeying it. the weekend came and the dude fired her for missing 2 shifts, even though she told him she would be gone. She asked what she could've done better and he didn't really have anything to say. Her mom picked her up and she explained what happened. Her mom said: "He hates hiring. He hires a bunch of people at once and fired them as soon as they make a mistake. He doesn't want to put in the effort to screen actually good employees. Thing is, when you hire teenagers, they will make mistakes. That's why he really liked that one girl. She wasn't a good employee, she was just good at hiding her mistakes. And that's also why he couldn't give you a real answer on what you could've done better. Anyone who really values good employees would love to hear that question."

If I may offer some advice? I think it might've just been the manager assigned to that particular restaurant. I've heard horror stories from my current manager of a different manager from a different store, but the slightest thing wrong, and you were out. He was especially ruthless with teenagers too, mainly because he knew that they don't typically know any better to even attempt to fight back. Couple that with this particular manager's hatred over working teenagers, and I think what happened was that this manager was working under the same, if not similar logic of, they didn't want to work with a teenager, and latched on to any flimsy excuse to fire you. I really am sorry that, that happened, but don't let it get you down! Had you kept working there I promise that the working experience there would've been 10 times worse with the knowledge that nothing short of absolute perfection would "work" for the company.
Do you know what the sad part is is I couldn't even get a job there because I don't even drive because they wanted me to be a dishwasher and a delivery boy so much was working with disabled people huh
