I completed the donut, and then I completed the sword in stone. Learned a lot and have no regrets. But now I am almost finished with this video and I have to say the way you teach is by far the most conducive to experamentation and true learning.
With each video, it gets better. I have watched a few tutorials before and they were also good but there were many things that were left out such as modifiers and some shortcuts that was limiting my ability to create something decent. After this tutorial, I hope I will feel confident about it. Thank you so much!
It took solid 3hours for my brain to practice and get through all of his info but I enjoyed it. I do have some problem understanding subdivision modifier and what exactly does it do but i think it would take time to get in my brain, it needs time.THANK YOU!!
Same here. the texture doesn't look bad or wrong, but definitely slightly different than this video. Maybe we're using a different version of blender that changes the way the modifier behaves? I dunno.... EDIT: I think I found the solution. Just press ctrl A in oject mode then apply Scale! now it should look exactly like the video!
Hello sir just wanted to take a minute to tell you i appreciate your work a lot! I have started from zero and am now quite able to work with the program thanks to you❤ I mean there are other tutorials out there but yours are the best, clear, taking time to explain everything so that we actually understand what we are doing and what effects it will have later on. Thats about it thank you alot!
I just started doing this and it already looks pretty hard! You did teach me some stuff though, now I can make a cartoony and simple house with ONE cube!
Hello Ryan, Thanks for your extensive and clear explanation. Every detail has been explained very well. But I have a question, when I put an object in edit mode, I always see the dimensions of the faces in that object. Where can I turn that off? Thank you for your time and effort. Fons
At the 11:00 you said Ico Sphere when you meant UV Sphere and it was confusing until you said it again 20 seconds later when you then chose the Ico Sphere. Other than that you are a grandmaster. You're tutorials are so incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for the work you do.
Hi from Istanbul...Thanks Ryan, you are good at teaching blender, can you tell me how long will it take to create an animation for a begginer and can i be able to create animation film for kids after ai complete your tutorials.
hi thanks a lot for the tutorials.. very clear and neat explanations. . need one help . after adding bevel(after mirror modifier ) there are no changes in the object. tried changing amt, angle etc but no change.kindly help me
@@RyanKingArt I meant to compliment your voice and outro - with the music and plugs, it sounded like an oldies radio program coming to an end. haha Anyway, back to the tutorial - I'm on part 6 :D Thanks for the help.
Hmm, not that I know of. I just use a pretty basic mouse that I bought on amazon. the mouse I have is: *YUMQUA G222 Silent Computer Mouse Wired 2 Pack, Home & Office Optical USB Mouse*
In regards to the blender units I have 2 questions. 1st, does changing the units in an existing scene affect the scale of the models or do they remain the same size but respect the new units system? 2nd, I am a 3ds max user, in 3ds we have an option to type in a size value in any unit type and 3ds converts the units to the Unit System. So if I am working on meters, and in the objects properties type in 12" it will convert that dimension to the corresponding dimension in the Unit System(meters) .3048. Is there a feature in blender or an add-onn that would do this?
See it’s weird because my blender is set to meters. For example, i’ll make a sphere at 5 meters and will be super tiny. Then ill do a 50m sphere and will be big. When I export these and put them in my slicer the 5 meter is actually 5 mm not 5m. Same with the 50m sphere. It’s actually 50mm and not 50m. Is this a glitch?

Till now, I have followed Part 1 and Part 2 step by step. I found that every detail has been explained very well. Thank you, Mr. Ryan
Glad it helped! 👍

Complete! The texture on the snowballs look a bit different for some reason but, it does have that snow texture.

@@Old_Man_Jay I was going to say. Probably related to scale. Thanks for sharing your solution!
These tutorials came at the right time... 😊

My man, that outro music is epic!!! Do you work on radio somewhere as well?
no, I just added some royalty free music into the video. I didn't make it. you can find the music link and credits in the description.

When using the subdivision surface modifier what is the difference between catmull-clark and simple?
the simple mode, subdivides the faces of the mesh, but doesn't smooth it out.

nah just have to pay closer attention to the scale and transfer sizes .. may have to re-scale in the slicer before actual print.
When I'm duplicating the sphere and then try scaling the duplicated object, it's not scaling proportionately. why?
You should make a brand new serie just all about Shading, i'm 3+ months user but still not control them
I recently made an introduction to procedural shader nodes video that you can check out on my channel.
i wish i'd found this after you'd posted all parts to this series.
I will be posting 1 part each day
