This is the episode where Declan Murphy earned my respect. The guy is unorthodox even shady but end of the day he is on the side of the angels. His testimony for the grand jury at the end which vindicated Liv was definitely one of his best moments.
And the lawyer was not definitively standing for Olivia and the NYPD. IAB wanted to show another story: Olivia fighting for herself and WL was shot , and bla bla bla. Lt Murphy told the jury a story that was both truth and lies.
i wonder if this was ever part of the plot, but i thought that what William Lewis was trying to accomplish was a murder-suicide. he put his head up to Olivia's and lined the gun up as if he was going to kill both himself and her with the last bullet. it seemed like he was pretty intent on her dying, so for him to just decide to kill just himself in the end is strange, even if he was doing it in a manner to set her up for his "murder". i suppose nobody could know what William was intending to do, but to me it looked like he wanted to die with Olivia so he'd go down in infamy for orchestrating this huge crime spree then ultimately killing the cop that caught him in the first place. especially him saying, "the last thing you're gonna see", screams to me like he wanted Olivia to think about how they're going to die together and how awful it all is. it's strange to me that Olivia never brings this possibility up to the IA when they're questioning her about how he died. which, even if she did kill him, the IA trying to make her feel bad or possibly criminally responsible for his death is so stupid. she was literally kidnapped and tortured, she 100% has the right to self defense in the case that she did kill him. i suppose nobody could really know the circumstances besides Benson and us, the audience, but still.
What Lewis intended was to live on in Benson's memories. He wanted to continue tormenting her after his death. The fact that he gained such a level of notoriety for his actions, means that he succeeded. Hence the episode where Gregory Yates and Carl Rudnick escaped from State Penitentiary, it brought the SVU back to Bronwyn Freed who had helped Lewis escape from Rikers and did the same for Yates and Rudnick at Green Haven. The fact that the warden had mentioned Bronwyn, must've made Olivia's skin crawl because of what she did for William. It's no wonder she had no intention of coddling her, for being such a bleeding heart for monsters like Lewis and Rudnick.
Well that's not enougth for Internal "We do everything to send Cragen to hell because we want" Affairs Edit: If that means destroy the lives of his friends and familiy because he testify against O'Farrell ("The Blue Wall" S1-22Ep, Original Series) Ppd: Yup, for me all this matter with the SUV and Internal Affairs it's a "Vendetta"
@@ameliaflynnhayes I'm still pissed that Elliot wasn't there for Olivia during this story arc. I know he had his stuff going on, but he could've at least reached out to her through phone call or text.
@omarcogle1965 that made me so angry. It was when Kathy was fatally injured that he expected Liv to have his back, when he LEFT her to fend off William Lewis and Noah's biological father.
As if that would make any difference, given how charismatic William Lewis was in life. He would've found a way to get into Elliot's mind just as easily as he did with Olivia, if not more so.
Lewis musta known exactly what he was doing when he shot himself with his left hand. Everyone knew that but the problem was it just needed to be proven that a cop didn’t execute an unarmed perp, even if he was a psychopath. Especially after that same cop made an admission about how she beat Lewis when he was tied up & lied about it on the stand
It’s so weird to think that tucker was such an arsehole here with here but then he became the sweetest man with her and Noah. He truly loved her and I think she loved him too she just wasn’t ready to settle down and be happy completely
Paraphrasing Oker from Mass Effect 2 (i know that im quoting a video game but there still something in the words.) The greatest insult an enemy can suffer is being ignored.
Tucker & Olivia didn't start dating until Season 17, they broke up in Season 18, and in Season 21, Tucker killed himself after a long battle with Cancer.
I watch Law and Order SVU, and for the most part, I like it. But whoever the writer is that thinks that Olivia Benson has to go into whispering mode somewhere in every episode should go away. I suspect it’s for dramatization but after watching it for years it’s just stupid and irritating.
I never liked Declan Murphy I never trusted him from the get go that guy has serious issues and trusting issues that guy doesn’t know the meaning of teamwork or honour.
What I found misleading about this scene. Is when do the police or any other rescue team. Stop on the floor and not climb the adjoining staircase to check that level. But only climbed the stairs after they heard a shot. And the shooter assumed they wouldn't climb the stairs as well. But would wait on the lower level until after the shot. Absolute rubbish and directing mistake..

All I can say is if Stabler was around for this, he would have taken the guy out himself.

Lewis is a mastermind of playing games
@@winsomefoster William Lewis was the Joker of the Law & Order franchise.
Benson is telling the fact
Couldn't they just test her for gun residue that shows they she shot a gun?
Well, if I’m right, they were close enough to where it was on both of them. I think it works that way, but again, I’m not sure
Mariska is one of the greatest female actors around, I love her and SVU
I love Olivia Benson on law and order
Wish I could see the whole episode

Her therapist, Peter gives me the creeps.
You can’t help but remember him from other creepy roles he’s played. Plus, he kind of has a creepy face. 😊
Bart Bass
That therapist plays a psychotic killer who shivs Lawrence Fishburne in CSI, and also plays Eddie Collins in Eight Men Out. Great role player.
