I have completed 11 mins of this video and I am completely blown away with the simplicity of your explanation of otherwise hard to understand topics. Congratulations on a job well done my friend.
I don't know why I got this suggestion so late, this guy's explanation is outstanding. we don't even require to keep note of the topic, his slides are that good.
After a long time searching for what is ebs and Efs , here you go . This is the only video where I got to know finally what’s the difference and the use cases . Lovely and keep going
A lot of things were very hard for me to understand until I started watching his videos. He is super nice for training and I enjoy learning now. Thank you so much Chetan.
Chetan, you have a gift🙏🏾. You explain these concepts so fluidly and easy, this helps me so much . I will purchase any AWS course you put together. Period. Thank you
Thank you so much.. 😍 The way you explained is just mind-blowing, I think all the AWS instructors in Udemy should watch this video and learn the art of explaining things.
Explaining the concepts with a decision tree was really a fantastic way to remember things. Very impressive and thanks from my heart. This was very useful
I really don’t know who this guy is but all i know he is the best when it cames to aws networking and I am right in his class on Udemy frankly I just say wowwwwwww
This video offers an excellent overall perspective with just he right information to answer the most important questions. Clearly done by someone with experience and knowledge in the subject.
You are really wonderful, very simple language and the explanation just sits in mind. I am sure you will rock in the near future. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials.
I will, somehow getting pulled into different things (including laziness) and couldn’t prioritise. However your comments certainly help me get focused. I will do that..thanks for the push!!
Finally, after a long wait! Thank you Chetan. Your explanation style and content delivery is amazing. Please upload more and more videos frequently in youtube or Udemy. Big fan following to listen your teaching! :)
Thank you Chethan for your teaching sessions. I was really happy that you are sharing your knowledge to the people like us so that we can learn something new in AWS. Thank you once again. Also if you could provide a session on SES in AWS that could be very helpful for us.
Instance store is local to the instance and comes with few specific instance types only. The data in instance store is wiped if you stop the instance. So its best used for temporary (/tmp) filesystem. Benefit is that it comes free with EC2. EBS is external disk and data is persisted irrespective of EC2 instance running status. You pay for EBS size.
A quick correction regarding the instance storage. If you restart the instance, the data will be there even after the restart, the data is lost if : the disk fails the instance stops/ hibernates or it was terminated. Beside this, very useful video, thank you for the effort!
No, EBS is a persistent disk in which data is retained irrespective of instance state. However there is another type of block volume i.e instance store volume which you can attach to the instance. This disk comes free along with the instance price and its optional to use. If you stop the instance then this instance store volume data is wiped out (lost). Not all instances support instance store volume. Look at ec2 instance types detail page for instances which provides instance store volumes.
1) some type of EBS can be attached by multiple EC2 instances, called "'multi-attach'" 2) accessing S3 from an EC2 causes data transfer fee, so better do this thru VPC endpoint, which allows EC2 accesses S3 within AWS networking, so no data transfer fee
Yeah right, aws added support for multi-attach but there are lot of considerations/limitations for using multi-attach. Its not recommended for all general purpose workloads. There is no data transfer fee if you access S3 in the same region as EC2. Definitely VPC gateway endpoints are recommended as instance then need not have outbound internet access (via NAT gateway or Internet Gateway).
Really well structured content. It would be great to discuss different use-cases and how to build corresponding Architecture. You should certainly do a full course on AWS and related topics.
I don't know who this guy is but he literally WINS the internet. I have enjoyed all his videos and I'm even thinking of signing up to their class
Thanks, so glad I read your comment and carried on, his videos are amazing!!! Also Subscribed!

Hi Chetan. First of all thank you for this wonderful explanation.
Just wanted to know the difference between instance store and EBS
Instance store is local to the instance and comes with few specific instance types only. The data in instance store is wiped if you stop the instance. So its best used for temporary (/tmp) filesystem. Benefit is that it comes free with EC2.
EBS is external disk and data is persisted irrespective of EC2 instance running status. You pay for EBS size.
Amazing explanation mate, thank you for your job
Welcome back Boss your are amazing!!
A quick correction regarding the instance storage. If you restart the instance, the data will be there even after the restart, the data is lost if :
the disk fails
the instance stops/ hibernates or it was terminated.
Very clear explanation 👍
i like your vids one best YT channel i found for aws learning
1) some type of EBS can be attached by multiple EC2 instances, called "'multi-attach'"
2) accessing S3 from an EC2 causes data transfer fee, so better do this thru VPC endpoint, which allows EC2 accesses S3 within AWS networking, so no data transfer fee

@@AWSwithChetan I agree mutli-attach has limitations, just raised this so that others can know that there is such a feature like this
