In this video I will give you a high-level overview of all the different container services you can use on AWS. If you want to run a containerized application on AWS you have multiple options, depending on your application requirements.
We will see what Elastic Container Service (ECS) is, what it's used for and how it works.
Then we will compare it and talk about EKS, which is Elastic Kubernetes Service.
We will also see different ways of running containers with EC2 or AWS Fargate.
And finally we will see the ECR Service, which stands for Elastic Container Registry.

First, excuse my username - it is directed at TH-cam for all their censorship, not you. Nana, you are definitely one of the best instructors of IT material that I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. You speak in a very easy-to-understand manner and you build your tutorial in small, easy-to-digest building blocks. You start from the beginning and explain all the pieces, piece by piece. If I had to do an analogy of your tutorials to microservices, each one of the concepts you would like to explain is broken down into a simple microservice concept and then you smartly build the tutorial by building the "microservices." Thank you!

Excellent video! Explained everything well. So fargate is the ability to not have to worry about the ec2's which no one wants to do that anyway. I was under the impression that ECS did both containers and infrastructure but it really only does both if you use fargate with ecs. EKS is just using kubernetes which is a challenger to ECS. If you are already using Kubernetes, use EKS. If you are developing something new... use ECS.
