    I'd love to see more in depth reviews of the Advent calendar items. It's nice seeing the variety, they typically have items that I wouldn't necessarily think to purchase on my own.

    I found my SK2 dupe!!! Its the Mitomo Japanese sake skin toner!! My skin has transformed!!!! Honestly have never seen my skin look better!!! I found it at TJ Max! love it!! P.S Alice you have to try the Jumiso Snail Ex ultimate barrier cream!!!! Its just heavenly..perfect! Just the right snail consistency and absorbs so lovely!! Do it!!! Lol. I need to see you try this out...just Patiently waiting lol

    I can't afford SK2 but I did try the Physisions
    Formula 'dupe' you mentioned awhile back. It makes my skin feel soft but not at all moisturized! Maybe I'll try the Neogen version when I run out (my skin type is exactly the same as yours, so you are my #1 advisor) Plus your videos are just So Much Fun!!

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole

      Haha thank you! 😃
      For moisturizing I would say something like the mary&may essence. I find fermented toners to be better for hydrating vs moisturizing ☺️

    Voting first thing in the morning. And thank you so much for all these reviews of the different Koreans skin care products! I have been getting some good info from you and I placed a nice order with stylevana, I couldn’t believe how good of deals I got! Can’t wait to try everything. That beauty of Joseon spf in particular, for $20 for 2?! That’s crazy good.

      Their prices are SO good! I haven’t placed an order in a while (given all the advent items I’ll have to work through 😅) but I hear the shipping speed is also improving. Great to hear!

    I couldn't agree more on the SK II essence! On paper, it shouldn't be as good as it is, yet it far and beyond beats out almost every first treatment essence/essence that I've ever used.....and that's saying A LOT 😬

    Hi Alice, LOVE ur speedy reviews esp when its all K & J beauty
    U NEED to try the bioderma sensibio H2O, its one of the best if not the best cleansing water you will ever try believe me , they also recently released a bi-phase eye makeup remover in the same sensibio line and I can tell u its even better than the Lancôme one, unfortunately still not cruelty free although they said they're working on it .Garnier Micellar water is also a decent option(not my fav tho). Garnier also make another blueish version for water resistant makeup removal and its another great option.
    I might try ur approach with creamy toners to use after serums stage, idk I'm down to try anything LOL.
    AHAs nights are my favourite, I just LOVE what they can do for my skin but I understand not everyone gets along with regular use of AHAs, PC has a 5% AHA serum I used before leveling up to the 10% concentration, give that a try its pricy but the bottle lasts such a long time never irritated my skin and yields results in no time, PC products are really well formulated although the price keeps creeping uo :(
    TO lactic acid 5% , TO Mandelic acid 10% are great options as well also had great luck with.
    Boost Lab is an Australian brand here they do amino acid encapsulated AHA serum that actually works well in the long term.

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah tbh I’m thinking of switching to different AHAs and seeing if my skin can tolerate that (Stratia mandelic? It worked for me in the past, hoping it can again…)
      Also yes the bioderma is great! I had no idea they came out with a biphase remover, thanks so much for sharing!

    Finally u tried the RNW ceramide plus serum, it's so nice, I told you. I really like the mm essence still like.dr c more but I do like it. I use it after toner but I use thin serums before toner like the Dermtlgy needle less serum but I use thicker serums after the essence but I may play around with using it after serum.

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me know how it goes, since this switch I’m finally using up all these creamy essences and actually looooving it haha! And yes I confess you were quite right, is the essence the other product you liked from them?

      @@AliceintheRabbitHole the essence and the miccelar cleansing water
      I don't not love the essence as much as sk11 though their is something about that one like you said the hyperpigmentation dissapeared after I started using sk11 and with all the stuff I have used it didn't touch any hyperpigmentation but that did which suprised me
      O but I got the sk11 after the RNW so I didn't finish the bottle yet so I don't know for sure the real.results of it like SK but it was nice .

      Whoa interesting, makes sense for the salicylate (although salicylic acid products are so inexpensive these days that there would be no need)
      You know what I do miss? The chafing gel as primer days 🤣 I mean, it worked!! It WAS silicones! But that’s obsolete now as elf/essence have nice primers that might even cost less lol

    So funny...
    I've had a my eye on those RNW serums lately. I'm late to the party too🤣 so interesting that you say this about the Laneige cream skin. I really struggled to get through that one, but I'm not sure if it was due to the texture or that I thought it was breaking me out. My skin currently is in a fairly good spot so I'm scared to try anything that may be the culprit of breakouts. That being said I really want that Mary& May essence but I have the Dr C in my stash and think my skin would prefer kombucha over blueberry so at this time I don't THINK it's a necessity but you never know, 🤣

    I was on Kendras train of thought
    I am going to switch how I a.m using the laniege cream skin
    After I finish the Blithe 9 bean essence I will get the Doc C kombucha
    RNW looks nice but I have never had a stratia product I am not using tret every night I am alternating lactic glycolic then 2 days of all hydration and it's 89 degrees and humid why am I flaky uggh

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do think Dr. C > Laneige. It feels like an upgrade in usage (if you like that skintertainment experience), texture, and even results imo. I think you’ll really enjoy it. Different from the Blithe which has a more deeply hydrating sensation vs the hydrating/moisturizing duo!

    Funny! I also had an aha experience last week that was not positive to say the least lol. 10% lactic is too much for me too I suppose! Its frustrating because i always enjoyed the soft skin and glow the morning after... oh well. BHAs and phas are good for now but theyre on thin ice LOL!! Sooo many good products in this vid! Ive been also using my isntree mugwort clay in a similar way to that heimish (might try applying with a brush now omg!) about once a week and it really helps the pores and bumps on my forehead! I ordered two RNW's a while ago and they havent arrived, but i finally caved because i love the similar ample n ceramide shot and look at all those beautiful peptides! would totally rec that ample n product as well as the aestura products i mentioned before as amazing when your skin is compromised- and DONT sting! also bought a BUNCH of the neogen essence minis during a great stylevana deal- cant wait to try as ive been loving my bifida products lately! still making my way through my dr ceuracle essence as well, have been using as a normal essence but now i will try after serum as i remember preferring cream skin that way, so thanks for the tip! been so curious about that lion pair cream too! hope your barrier recovers quickly!

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      OMG YOU GET ME. Yes, PHA and BHA are also on thin ice, although I’m hoping only because my barrier has to heal after the ..after the incident
      I think what keeps happening is I notice how a higher frequency of adapalene leaves my skin more clear. So I want to do every other day (or honestly nightly would be great?) But in so doing, I have to give up just about all actives or I’ll end up with not-clear skin again! Goodness it’s such a tight line to walk 😅

    Although my use of tret (and another acne med) has been for a long time I just recently ( last 4-5 years) started serious skincare use..(Thank you!!!) and I must say that anytime I tried to use an AHA product even just in the am my skin screamed...So I stopped all known AHA/BHA use and my skin kissed me back... I bumped into RNW Ceramide + serum and have loved it. Any comment on the Blithe Cosmetics serums? You talked about an essence, I tried it and love it (Roots) so I got Beans and Seeds.. And again you have been very helpful in my skin journey as well as helping me stay sane the last 6 years...TY...

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup I think that’s going to be my next move in…uhhh let’s call it Skincare Chess (🤣). I haven’t touched AHA for over a week now and my skin is looking better. It seems to be indeed an Either/Or situation with adapalene, and I have a clear favorite between the two (clear favorite? Pun intended??)
      Aw so happy to hear 🥰🥰 I am thinking of grabbing more Blithe in the sales, good to hear you’re enjoying the brand!

    Alice oh my gosh I saw on the paper inside my differin box it said specifically to avoid AHAs ! I had been having similar reactions with AHAs that didn't make sense to me because it's supposed to be gentler than BHAs. I was shook!
