Not only are the untrained, I guess they don't read their email. On 24 Aug 2022, the Postal Inspection Service arm of the USPS sent email to every employee. The email informed them of 1A Auditor. They have the right to record. They can stand in the lobbies. They are not trespassing, and do not call the police. Do NOT call the police. Do not talk to the auditors, do not interfere, do not take pictures or record them. And what are these employees doing? Everything they are not supposed to do.

Just got off the phone with the manager of this location and he says that he has just now trained ALL the employees about our 1st Amendment right to record in public. At first, I spoke with a lady and explained to her about a viral video going on at this location, she was trying to say the whole "If we went and filmed you at your house.....yada yada..." and I said, "Ma'am, first of all, my house is private and the Post Office is pubic even though it's Federal Property. The public isn't allowed in my private home. She then forwarded me to her supervisor and we went from there. There were no arguements or disagreements.

Poster 7 could be clearer IMHO. Here's what it currently says.
Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or auditoriums when used for public meetings except where prohibited by official signs or Security Force personnel or other authorized personnel or a federal court order or rule. Other photographs may be taken only with the permission of the local Postmaster or installation head.
    Here's better wording.
Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, and corridors. This is a first amendment right that shall not be infringed upon. The same is true for auditoriums when used for public meetings except where prohibited by official signs or Security Force personnel or other authorized personnel or a federal court order or rule. Other photographs, such as for commercial purposes, may be taken only with the permission of the local Postmaster or installation head.
I submitted a complaint to the USPS IG; may I suggest you do the same.

NEVER say you're going to FOIA the pics or video they take. FIRST verify on camera that they actually did it because they lie and say they didn't. Maybe say "did you get my good side" or "hope that's a good pic of me you took." Good job James and thanks for your work!

@@jeremybilbrey1133 by asking them. "Did you get my good side" or "Did you get a good picture" or "Do you want another pic of me smiling" or "I'll smile if you want a better pic" Anything like that should get you an answer.

I think the "other photographs" part refers to photographs that are NOT for news purposes.
The first sentence refers to photographs for news purposes. The second sentence refers to photographs for other purposes.
    That's how I read it.

Now why would you go and put a monkey in their wrench. Instead of trying to at least learn something that they didn't know, they immediately tell you what you can't do. Supervisor was typical. I am going to have the ĺast laugh and let the cops put you in your place. When that blew up in his face, he did the only thing he knew how to do, ignore the problem rather than admit to himself he was wrong.
    Typical,,,,,
Some of our people, once they have just an inkling of authority, like to subject their own to their false bravado.

Me and my husband lived in Cobb County for years. My husband is actually from Cobb county Marietta to be exact. My husband constantly gets pulled over while driving around in County and caught all of his charges there and I’m sure most of his charges he wouldn’t have gotten if he knew his rights back then. But I’m so glad you are out there in Cobb county doing audits in Atlanta, Georgia. Just be aware of not only Cobb county police at night but also Dunwoody police and Marietta police they’re pretty bad as well. I’m really surprised they didn’t try to violate your rights at the post office. I guarantee you drive around at night in Cobb county and you are pretty much guaranteed to get pulled over and they will try and violate you. Looks like things have changed a lot since we live there six years ago but hopefully that’s the case. Happy to see your expanding your auditing! My husband loves your channel and now I do too.

They have cameras exclusively at the post office and apparently the employees don't trust them. The supervisor refused to look at the man he's talking to. Hint, he's not trustworthy.😂
