Injection worked awesome. I went to Westchester Medical Center "NYS" actual procedure was quick and painless. I was put under for about 10 minutes, rolled into recovery and home same day. Actual Botox Injection lasted me about 3+ months. I am going to go back for another procedure very soon. I gained 9 pounds after the Botox Injection.. I would recommend anyone trying this procedure.
Thanks so much for this. After the Botox did you do any other procedure? If it’s a placebo why do it? Gees. They should be able to tell thru x ray if the pyloric valve is open or not. ❤
I'm about to get this procedure done at the end of sept. and what i really worry about is the fact that Botox is being injected into my body. its a toxin. it may help one thing but could it have negative effects on other parts of your body?? Also, thank you so much for all your advice and tips and help! I read your book Living with Gastroparesis and it was quite literally a life saver! Thank you!
Thanks so much Crystal. I really want to get this but I’m having trouble finding ANY docs who do this. I’m willing to travel. I’m in Arizona and I’ve found only one place but I’m not sure they’ll take my insurance or ic they’re still in business as I can’t reach them. . Could you please let me know how I can find any names of docs who do this? Thanks for your work! ❤
Hi, there! Botox treatments aren't as common as they used to be it seems. You might find this list of GP specialists helpful for a starting point: www.livingwellwithgastroparesis.com/blog/gastroparesis-specialists?rq=specialist
Ive been struggling, fighting and learning to live with my Gastroparesis for the last 11+ years, I just found out about the Botox Injections and well just saw a Dr in NY "Westchester County" I am going in on April 10th to give the Injection a try.. Will update and let you know how it goes.. I also joined your Email list and Facebook Page..
I just had this procedure done. It has been two weeks and have not realized any change. How long did you wait until you noticed anything. My doctor says four weeks until you notice it.
I want to know how to get gastric pacemaker because the insurance said its an "experimental procedure" How do I counter that decision? I am aware its been approved by FDA 12 yrs ago then why would they turn it down? Please help.
