Overall it just seems that they aren't lit well or something or maybe even the geometry doesn't match that of what we see in the meta human creator. Not sure if anyone also experienced this problem...
I've had a few issues with them in the past, I believe as of right now they are still in a sort of 'early-access'. I know they are still being actively developed and worked on to always be better.

Aren't Metahumans a 3 GB download the software? Also that MetaHuman spoke it said Subscribe.

It seems like most of the metahuman char hair is gone. If I move close it appears. Why?
Many of the hair grooms are currently in development and only display at LOD 0 and 1 (which are the LODs that are shown at close range).
is metahuman not to much resource cost as a character?
For a lower-end PC maybe. But you can optimise them really well with LODs, different quality presets when importing, etc.
