Hey Christian I've made well over $1500 total watching your vids and I love this side hustle so much. I have a couple of questions, when it comes to getting good prices at a cellphone repair spot. How do you get a good deal, do you just ask for a discount because you bring alot of business? Other question is listing on ebay. Could you make a video about listing on ebay man alot of people would love to see the process in an updated format. I originally found out about you seeing someone else interview you and list on ebay doing the same thing and it looked easy enough but a more in depth preview would be very very much appreciated!

It’d be nice to see the shipping options you put on ebay when you’re listing the phones . Like do you put express delivery or regular delivery, do you put the USA option ?
I do Canada only as I am in Canada. I normally pick all 3 of the options and let the buyer decide.

Do you check the iCloud, eim #, and battery condition before or after you purchase?
The two missing pieces for me is...
1. Showing the checks you do to verify the phone. Software used, etc.
2. Research method to actually find the phones you can sell for a profit.
Granted anyone could get on ebay, fb marketplace, amazon, etc and buy a phone. However, buying a phone that you can flip for a profit is easier said than done. Those two points I think would make it more clear for anyone watching these videos.
Fair points, this video wasn’t exactly a tutorial, it was more me going out and showing that it works.

Quick question, my biggest concern when buying in places like marketplace or eBay is the fact that after selling my the phone the buyer might report the phone as stolen or report the IMEI number is that possible??
How do you calculate the mailing cost when the phone is already purchased? I mean you can't go back to the client and tell the price once they already paid your price..?

Hello, im new to iphones but heard about how I could get scammed as the seller can report lost or stolen and get a new free one. Is that only if they have the applecare + plan. Do you ever use a bill of sale and ask for id? I feel like that could turn away a lot of people both scammers and legit, but if only the applecare plans last for 2-3 years then only devices that are younger then 3 years I need to be worried about?

Wow you get incredible deals man. And what me wonders the most is that people are actually ready to spend 400+$ for an iphone 12. Here in Germany you'll be lucky you get barely 250+ for the same model. Besides everyone is trying to screw you over haha

If I were you I’d look into buying them for low in Germany and selling to cell phone shops in other smaller European countries!
@@kristiankumric yeah the currency is euro. When it comes to buying phones one major problem is that there aren't many sites to look for. It's really limited. Marketplace for example is full of scammers. No chance you find something there. But I'll definitely try selling them across Europe for better margin.

hes the on that wants the phone, if the seller drove to potential buyers, the buyers may just change their mind and not end up buying therefore wasting the sellers time

Not sure how common that is, I’ve never had that happen to me
How are you fixing the screens on these for example the cracked xr
Pull the screen off and unplug old screen replace with new, plus there could be seals for the screen

What I’m kinda confused about is the screen repair shops and all that around my area want to charge around 100 to 200 sometimes even more to repair it. How are you expecting to make a somewhat decent profit from flipping phones when you go to spend that kind of money to repair them and the phone cost 100 and $200 itself and you’re only gonna get about three $400
You don’t need to buy broken phones to make profit. If you do choose to buy broken phones, you repair them yourself to cut cost by like 80%, or you build relationship with a repair tech for better rates.
Those prices are high, search around and you will find substantially better rates.

Do you repair the back glass yourself?
Normally yes, for the video I paid someone $50 to do it for me because I thought that would be more realistic for anyone trying to do this themselves

Not sure to be honest, most of the time went into filming/editing the video. I’d estimate a couple hours a day. Maybe a few more hours on the weekend.

I’ve personally always had the best experience finding the phones myself, I’ve heard of other people having success with ads

Normally sell them for quite a bit higher then this locally. In the videos I sell them for less to move them quickly
Hi Kristian, this is a pretty unrelated question but I've just set up a facebook account to use to buy/sell the phones but I've tried to send messages to people and only the first two have sent, now my messages will not send to anybody on that account. How can I fix this? Or if this is normal for a new account how long will this go on for?
It’s going to be a bit harder to do with a new account, did you not already have a Facebook account you could use?
People tend to be a bit sketched out when it comes to meeting up with new accounts on marketplace

Not sure if there’s any restriction. I would strongly recommend using your personal account if you want to do this, people trust personal accounts a lot more.

It does I’m pretty sure locked means that the phone has a passcode or it’s I cloud locked

When selling on eBay do you accept offers or do you just let customers outright buy the phone? I’ve listed a phone but I get nothing but offers or scams, so i’m not really to sure how to go about it, it’s my first time using eBay to resell anything so I was just wondering how the process works
Also do you only buy unlocked devices? Or is there a way to bypass blacklisted/carrier locked devices?

Nice Vid However You do live in Canada and all Canada phones come unlocked so they are easier to sell. Phones will sell in 5 minutes on eBay as soon as you list them but it was still a cool challenge. Starting with $100 is something different keep it up.

You have to price pretty competitively for them to move at a good pace. Find compatibles that sold recently and list your item like 5-10 bucks lower.
I also take really clear photos + add brand new chargers with the phones, which adds a lot of perceived value for very little extra cost.
You make a little less profit per unit but being able to move them fast makes you a lot more money overall. (I’d rather sell 50 phones a month at a 20-30% profit margin, then wait a month to sell 5 phones at a 40-50% margin)
Another thing to keep in mind is every single person has a phone, and when they break it’s something people wanna replace asap. so the amount of people buying phones on the platform is a lot higher then the amount of people buying more niche products you may have tried in the past

Buying and selling on Facebook like this isn’t my full time job, I just do it for these videos to show people how they can get started.
My full time thing is operating my actual business haha (we still sell phones, just buy wholesale and do it at a much larger scale)
