    MATERIALS:
    - 8.5x11 paper
    - metal ruler
    - rotary cutter (exacto knife would work too)
    - cutting mat/board
    - microsoft word
    - printer
    - stapler/thread and needle/elastic (however you want to bind your pages)
    - corner puncher (optional)

Thank you so much for this! This video is 9 years but it might be the only existing video of a simple way to make printed inserts! Took me 2 days of searching and then you tube finally suggested it! Amazing you’re the best!

I have been just making my own by hand - drawing the lines, etc - because I couldn't wrap my head around how to do this double sided. I've watched a few tuts and they weren't clear enough for a computer/digital challenged brain like mine. This tut is so easy and straight forward and detailed enough for me to be able to follow. Thank you so much! Now my calendar pages/inserts will look nicer and more professional looking. I absolutely love this tut and can't thank you enough for sharing!

I just was able to do this... on my first try!!! You are amazing. This was so easy to follow. I now have the perfect TN insert for my month. I added weekly grocery list and meal planning, weekly and monthly budgeting, and some space to add some tracking! Thank you so much for this tutorial!

Awesome! I have never, never, never REALLY learned my way around Word. I pretty much used as a word processor, enough to produce a nice letter! Your tutorial is fantastic. I have 2007 and was still able to follow along. Great video!

That was incredibly helpful! Just bought leather and cording yesterday to make my very first Midori style notebook and will have to make my own inserts since the piece of leather I was able to find is not quite tall enough for any inserts sold out there. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I have been struggling trying to figure out how to make these in word! I want to make some sheets for my medical insert. Thank YOU so very much for taking the time to explain all of this. My word is set up a little differently on Mac but I found everything you were talking about. I stopped the video many times to get directions and then do it at same time. I need to make a cheat sheet for the future. I found your video so helpful and you are very kind for doing this.

I work in a church and do the Sunday bulletin, which a is lot like making these inserts. You are actually going about this a very tedious way. If you just set your word doc to book fold you can put in the pages as you want to see them and they will print out in the correct order.

    • @lombard1955

InspiredBlush Do you have an updated video with the book fold feature?

    • @Missmanda9109
      @Missmanda9109 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      To use BOOK FOLD feature:
Click on the "Layout" tab, then click the little box with an arrow on the "Page Setup" section (bottom right corner of that section). In the middle of the box that pops up, under Pagers, click the drop down box next to "Multiple Pages" (it will say normal), then select " Book Fold". You can choose how many pages to apply it to, use auto, or All. Click OK then you are done :) Hope this helped.

Thank you for this. I've been using Word for years - practically since it was launched - but have never been TAUGHT to use it!
My first attempt was a disaster - nothing lined up (didn't help that we use A4 paper where I am and not Letter size) - but the second time was a winner.
Have had to re-jig it because my printer does double sided printing so the sides needed moving around but your "model notebook" is a great help.

When you're at the bottom of the table, you don't need to insert row and keep hitting ctrl+y. If you're in the bottom cell in a one-column table, just hit "tab" and presto new row; hold it down until you have as many rows as you need. In the the multi-column table, place cursor in the bottom right cell, hold tab down and it will rapidly go thru the cells and add rows.

Wow is what I say!! Thanks for a fab tut! I'm working on it now. The only problem I can see is adjusting the margins for A4 as this seems to be standard in UK. And using cm instead of inches! Would you happen to have advice for margin setting for this size? I'm trying so hard to learn this Word stuff, my version is 2013 and there are some differences. You are ACE and I love your vid because you leave nothing to the imagination and you are so clear! Thanks for sharing!
