Hi Alex - watching your father working is the most enjoyable things on TH-cam. He is the only guy I can watch and not be disturbed by the dumb things they do - This is a function of Denis and I being similar ages and having similar skills sets and life experience. At the end of the day there can not be enough of the technical content and work in progress videos for my liking. I realise a large section of your followers do not engage with this since they are here for the "Story " but there is a serious number of people who are more interested in the technical detail. It seems to me that making a seperate stream of videos showing Denis working aimed at these people would be a successful venture. I see dozens of projects going on in his workshop in the background that I would love to watch vids of so there is no lack of content. ---- Graeme

As i have said and told your dad, i really enjoy the videos with him discussing what he did and why he did it that way. Plus, just watching him and now Nick create on the fly what they need is a special talent. Anytime I write Ed's last name I have to look, I know if I misspell there are plenty of experts that will correct you quickly. besides, that is why they go by Isky, it is much easier to spell
Attention to detail is what separates the amateurs from the pros. Seeing your dad fix stuff because it is the right thing to do is as informative as it is the correct way. Nothing wrong with showcasing his skills. The valve cover mock ups came out very well. Custom things always need tweaking before it is right.

Love this video. Seeing old school quick change rear end is pretty neat. Haven't seen one since the 70's when we had one in my buddies 32 Ford stock car he used to race here in Denver.
I enjoy watching a master at his craft. I also believe that most extremely talented people got that way from paying attention to the little details important or not. Thanks for a great show.
Had a friend for here in New Zealand travel over to the Bonneville salt flats pit crew for Bill Ward the first New Zealand car to race at Bonneville and he set a speed record in his flathead ford v8. his best moment was meeting Ed Iskenderian at his factory they talked a lot and John got given some cams for his scj motor in his mustang. He still talks about how much he learned from him regarding cams. He always wanted to go back just to compare notes. I will let him know about this build and show him the videos lol he doesn't even have a cell phone but builds a good engine won his class a couple of years in a row drag racing back in the 80s. I dont quite understand but he plays with old ford tractors now still has his t bucket drag car untouched for 30 years. And a couple of scj mustang's just sitting in the shed. 😁🇬🇸👍
It's not hard to like all the content you put out no matter how you do it it's always good, and it's always very informative and you learn stuff it's always good😁👍✌
Acording to a Motor Trend artical on Rear End Hot Rods, Jim Frankland was one of the pioneers of {your} style of quick-change rearend. Jim was a racer with a shop in Ruskin, Florida. He found himself being asked to repair {home made} various three-quarter-ton quick-change rearends for area racers. Jim decided he could build a lighter, stronger, and more durable version of the rearend. Frankland Engineering was born and eventually became the largest quick-change manufacturer in the world. Jones, Kollstadt, Winters, and others followed.
Another great show. Amazing to watch how you guys do the metalwork but the3d printing is something to see. Those valve covers are something. Really enjoyed it.
There are Wax based filaments to use for lost-wax casting straight off the printer too! If you had to make 20+ trim bits or something one day, heh. Love the adapter!

Love seeing someone making something from flat metal and creating a one of a kind part I went to Wyoming in 2010 and attended wyotech but didn’t get the chance to get a job after I came back home to northeast Arkansas Paragould area because I didn’t have five years experience but it is relaxing to work with your hands and do something that most people have no idea how to do

you guys better get a patient on that new rocker cover design. The shape is sick as, and with one base plate you could run a stack of different designs from classic to ultra modern. And the extra "A" is just for prototyping and anti-theft.......lol Also I love the detail your dad gives. It is very clear why he does thing his way and as always the devil is in the detail, and who does not enjoy seeing a master at work. I would love to see you guys be able to take a youngster under your wings and teach them everything you all do with cars.
Small world, I just seen those valve covers pop up in a printing group. Didn't realize it was for a project here. I've always liked the idea of trying to make a modern engine have a more old school look and those valve covers nailed it perfectly. I kind of want to try casting a couple valve covers now.

I would be willing to bet that that pattern making class was at Santa Monica Community College. My old Alma Mater. I took all the automotive classes they had available. We called our instructor Uncle Joe Sharp. That would have been in the old campus. My father went to the same high school as Ed went to, Los Angeles Polytechnic High. He would have been 4 years behind him, though.

Being an Aussie, every time i hear Taylor say "Dang" i can't help but smile... i might say "Bugger", as in if i cut too much off a piece of material, and being frustrated, i would say "Bugger It". Us Aussie's are adept at using various words for a given situation, therefore "Bugger It" might be replaced with "Stuff It", "Fcuk It" etc!

Quick Change rear end gears are what is used for gearing in a pro charger too.
