- Visiting the southern Oregon coast at Port Orford and camping at Humbug Mountain State Park. The area contains beautiful beaches and soaring headlands projecting into the sea. Exploring the Port Orford Heads State Park day use area which was a U.S. Coast Guard Lifesaving Station prior to 1970 . Also walking trails to observation points on the headlands of the park.

Wow this video is crystal clear. I felt like I was there with you. I lived in this area from 1979-87. 4th grade through 11th grade
Thanks for the nice comment.
Lovely area...thanks for sharing the video!
So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the nice comment.
Humbug Mountain and the Port Orford area is probably my favorite section of the Oregon Coast. It is a more quiet, less congested area. Nice video.
Thanks for the nice comment.
Another great Travel Log video. We love the Port Orford area of the Oregon coast. Cheers and safe travels
Thanks so much! I also think that area of the Oregon coast is just splendid.
Another very enjoyable video! I didn't quite catch the date of your video recording. However, it was very close to when I was in the Port Orford area camping in late July. I was at BLM Edson Creek Campground North and inland of Port Orford. I highly recommend it. Years ago I camped at Humboldt Mountain. But when I checked it on my way North on 101 in July, it was full.
Thanks for the nice comment. I was visiting the Port Orford area the week of July 22. Also, thanks for the tip about Edson Creek, I will put it on my list of places to visit.
lovely area
Yes, it really is nice.
Nice one. I come home from Alaska that way, right around there is usually my last stop. there's a gravel pit a ways South of there, but maybe look into that campground this trip.
Thanks for the comment. The campground seemed filled when I visited in July. Like most of the coastal state parks it is booked pretty heavily during the summer months.
@@northwestcampervantravels7248 I'm not coming back down til mid Sept. I booked what looked like the one with the most space on either side. Normally I don't stay in campgrounds, I'm usually way out in the sticks. We'll see how it is. I like your channel, it's nice and calm, both pretty and informative. Thanks for that. Appreciate it.
Thanks again for the nice comment. I hope you enjoy your visit to Humbug Mtn. State Park.
What you did not check out the graves on Battle Rock ??
don't think you will be going to the east side this summer!! we had to drive i-90 thru montana to i-15 to get to twin falls, id area from puget sound because i-84 was closed!!!
Thanks for the info. Yes, wildfires now seem to be a problem every summer. I hope to go to central Oregon in September, but I may have to change my plans depending on smoke and/or fires.
