Big shout out to Hikaru making an astonishing run. Had been watching him practicing AKI since her release and he slowly participated in CPT WW, getting knocked out quickly but he still insisted and looking for every inch of improvement. About a year later and here it is, being among the best players and he is the fan favourite of winning EWC. He is young and can only get better. Definitely wants to see him winning a major soon. This set is definitely the best game in EWC.
I had been follow Hikaru because his Manon play style. He is already killer with manon before Randumb exist. Too bad he drop Manon and switch to AKI. But now I think that definitely good decision. It suits more his playstyle
To think of it I knew I missed something when I saw this live and having nostalgic feelings. The last interacting between Hikaru and Xiaohai reminds me of a moment in EVO 2012. It was Xiaohai’s debut in EVO and he reach semi final just like Hikaru did here, then Gamerbee took him out with his more experienced plays. When the match ended Gamerbee gave Xiaohai the exact same hug as encouragement. It is like watching successions between fighting game players from different generations. Gamerbee motivated Xiaohai and he eventually reached this far today and now it is up to him to pass on the baton to a next generation player and tell him to keep going his path.

BEST SF6 SET TO DATE !
Because of this set, I'm kinda prefer first to 5 set up than first to 3 with a loser bracket.
this had to be one of the best if not THE best set in the tournament. glad they are going with FT5.
Personally, I think every SF6 tournament should be FT5 or more. Adaptation is part of the game.
