Louis you speak eloquently and articulate well. After a hour into the interview hearing you never read a book to now is a Beautiful transformation. I myself had a Love for reading as a kid. You don't have to be formally educated to be intelligent 🙏🏼
When you think of it, he was one the first one to talk about the mafia in terms of the life. I remember being a teenager in 2012 when he went and talked about the mafia and done documentary’s. I think he should have a TH-cam channel and he would be really successful
Yeah. He was out before all this blew up with Franzese and Gravano etc. But then he kind of disappeared again until now. Guess it was when his last book came out that he hit the scene last time, and then he disappeared to spend seven years writing this one.
What a guy and what a watch. I really do like this guy. He's a rare stand up guy from that life who came out the other side after staying solid!!! I wish louis all the luck and the happiness in the world and his future endeavours! 🤝🙏💯
This guy is one of the most interesting guy’s I’ve seen on mobtube 💯…It’s nice to hear a different story and not the same 4 people telling the same old stories over and over again I really enjoyed listening to this podcast
I think the part about educating himself in prison was very interesting. Many prisoners are illiterate and it doesn’t matter if you are in for a month or 30 years you can use that time to learn and better yourself and this guy came out and made a credible interesting life for himself.
This is sorta off topic but it reminds me of freeway Rick Ross….he was illiterate and got thrown away for life. But learned to read just so he could study and understand his case (after he was locked up)…..but in reading about his case he realized the Feds weren’t fair with him and he argued it legally In summary they hammered him under the 3 strikes law but he had only been arrested that one time……he studied cases all over the country and realized everyone else who got hammered like that had 3 separate arrests….where as he had ONE arrest with 3 crimes at the same time It’s just an inspirational story cause he could’ve curled up and taken defeat but he taught himself to read then started studying law….then presented his case It’s cool to think about that much evolution in 1 life span
In other words, this guy is a no one. He wasn’t a made man so of course the government didn’t give one F about going after him. He said he wasn’t a rat and this and that but he was an absolute no one so of course he had nothing to worry about.
He explains in the beginning ,he was getting extorted by one of the 5 families ,as was any big time crook that was not a member of one of the families. He was paying them protection tax ,it was one of the rackets the mob used to run in that period in NY. He says the mob was to him like IRS to a legitimate businessman.

I don't understand what he's talking about when he says Joe Butch knew that Sammy was a rat. Sammy didn't rat until after Gotti, Sammy, and Frank Locascio were arrested and Sammy heard the things Gotti said about him from the FBI wiretaps. So what is he talking about?
