    The actress for Lucy has said she decided her concept of Lucy was "Ned Flanders in the Apocalypse."

      I keep feeling this too. I like how it started and ended with in that monumental area in his past that shaped him. It was fun telling my stepsons that the Vault Boy is really a ghoul. 😅

    I don't think the ghoul is a bad person. He has purpose in the things he does, and he is driven by a noble cause. He is more anti-hero, than villain, despite some of the things he does.

    Waayyy back in the days in the ancient 1980s, I lived in Hollywood in the flat lands and it was not a nice neighborhood especially with the crack war going on. When I saw the Hollywood Blvd sign it brought me back. I started trying to figure out where the scene would be considering Hollywood have two sides; the hills and the flat lands. Hollywood Blvd is in the flat lands so this body of water would not be near it. I am assuming that the scene is referencing the hills especially the reservoir.
    Fun Fact: There used to be a beloved mountain lion named P-22 who used to live alone in nearby Griffith Park. He would occasionally come down but never bothered anyone until December 2022 when he was acting erratically and was captured. He was eventually euthanized when he was found to suffer injuries after being hit by a car.

    • @SinisterSouthernbelleReactions
      @SinisterSouthernbelleReactions  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That’s awful about the lion.
      But that’s cool that you are aware of the surroundings having lived there. Nothing cool has been recorded here in the area of Mississippi that I’m in. Maybe P-Valley, but bragging about an illegal strip club in the ghetto is nothing cool. 😂

      @@SinisterSouthernbelleReactions Growing up in the barrios, Hollywood back then was mainly Hispanic, toughed me up for life. Teaches you about being street wise. I can gladly say that kids played out in the streets and I don't remember any kidnappings. We looked out for each other. A few months ago I drove by the old neighborhood and the white people are taking over.

    This is one of the few reactions I've seen where someone notices that Cooper is playing a character.
    The Ghoul is his character from The Man From Deadhorse.
    He hasn't actually fallen, he simply sees indulging this persona as a means to obtain his family.
    This is a very high concept that I've never seen explored in any other media. It's like making a movie about Heath Ledgers possible psychosis after he created the Joker.

    As it turns out, the TV series is an original story with original characters that shares a setting with the video games. I don’t think we’ve seen any specific characters that have crossed from the games to the show or vis versa… although there are organizations like the Brotherhood that appear in both, and the Brotherhood’s airship appears in Fallout 4. There’s a good chance that the Commonwealth mentioned by the high clerics in episode 1 is the New England Commonwealth; a mutual support and trade network of settlements in the Boston area, defended by the Minutemen, a volunteer army that dispatches soldiers to counter threats to civilians in the northeastern wasteland.

    I'd disagree with your husband, though. Don't start with Fallout: New Vegas. Start with Fallout 3, you'll get the whole Vault experience, literally from birth. NV for the story and quality of the writing. Fallout 4 for the better gameplay.

      @@SinisterSouthernbelleReactionsIt’s entirely your call. Each of the main Fallout games is a standalone story, so they’re all valid entry points into the larger series.

      Gotta agree with New Vegas first, it's the most recent west coast story with a lot of tie ins to the show. Plus gameplay wise it's exactly like 3 with additional systems such as reloading benches, faction reputations, a better story, traits were added back, and perks were rebalaced to make more sense. The only east coast tie in so far has been that Wilzig escaped from an Enclave outpost in the commonwealth

      @@Deft002 The problem with NV first, is that it does not ground the newcomer in Vault lore. It is the only one of the series where the player is a wastelander and not a Vault dweller. I would say play FO1 and 2 first, but those are very dated isometric RPGs and not most people's cup of tea.
      Of the entire series, FO3 gives the newcomer the most immersive Vault experience before their step-out moment.

    • @Deft002
      @Deft002 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @csb78nm Fair but I disagree you need to feel like a vault dweller to get the fallout experience. I believe the world is much more important, and FO2 and New Vegas prove that. Playing the tribal chosen one and the courier in New Vegas are arguably the best main character experiences in the series. Plus the show has already done a great job of showing the vault dweller experience, so it would be something they're already familiar with. A new perspective and additional insight into the world gives only more knowledge and understanding
