I’m not sure what it is but you somehow make a dirty, dry old rock completely fascinating...your videos are so laid back and I think that’s part of your trick... I can’t stop watching...
Nice little trip out afield, and a bit of digging to give the ol' detector a helping hand...nice finds...4 is better than 0...and a nice shell for the ol' collection too...fair day indeed. have a good one 👍
You are the Monster Master Bill. I live in Tucson and can't wait till it cools down a little so I can go up in the mountains and look around a little with my GM. THANKS.
The high temps out there make better adventures and opportunities to get out there before daylight and that just adds another fun element to it ! It always great fun to find color but the fun had exploring and prospecting and getting to see more of the Arizona geology is always the real pay off. And You never know !!!!!!!! Thanks for another great video. You shared everything but your lunch !!!! But it is always fun when you find some color ! Any day you can find a nice tortoise shell and 4 nuggets to take home is a really fun day !! Take care
Do you wouldn't believe what I found today I was digging up a garden today and doing a compost and I thought I'd look around and see what I can find for any sort of junk metal and stuff and I found one and a half ounce nugget of gold today was awesome right where I was putting my compost down
Mighty loose with what. You call a nugget. Tip when you get to the last teaspoon of dirt in the scoop, shake it back hold it over coil . Pull it forward with tiip of finger. You can tell when you move the target.
Thanks a million Bill. Learning so so much from you. Just got a gold monster. It is rainy season in Nigeria now and I just can't wait to hit the gold producing areas. You cut my learning curve Bill. Thanks
Good result 4 little beauts, poor old fella, good life though, in Australia in the outback the indigenous people would clean up the shell and create art work beautiful paintings I have quite a few from my time working in the outback communities.
There's lots of Rusty material underneath my compost so I grabbed some material and I found a really nice chunk of gold I took the metal detector out to pick up more junk that was outside I didn't want to cut myself on any old siding so I dug up some of that and then I found that hunts and 1/2 nugget which is f*** nice not as colourful as I thought but at least it's a nugget it's really rusty and tarnished it's like wow I just have to clean it up
Watching you kneeling like that makes my knees ache my friend. You should ask santa for some good knee pads eh.Sure nothing wrong with 4 scores eh. Very cool for you. That tortoise is amazing. I have never seen one before. Neat post !
Thats a real neat method of prospecting, I like that! Scrape then go over the ground with a sensitive detector .well done😊If you and Tammy arent busy Saturday sept 7th we are having a meet at lynk creek un the cool mountains. Atleast 3 creators coming so far.Make for great footage ,lunch ,good gold fun..
@@NUGGETSHOOTER, I watch you and jeff williams every night, i live in norther wi, and we are getting 15in of snow as we speak! had a nice couple of weeks to get out and prospect, more of a tease than anything. So I truly enjoy having yall to watch and learn from.
I can't believe all I had to do is go dig up a compost hole for my compost for my garden and I find an ounce and a half golden nugget that's insane and I didn't even I didn't use a metal detector I was just digging preparing a hole so I can make my compost I was surprised I'm still stunned
I test all the washes we get good gold out of and this one has very little in the way of fine gold even deep in the cracks. If it was rich enough I maight have, but I rarely drywash anymore, got my fill of that years ago lol
I just built my first drywasher last month. Other than a couple of test runs, it hasn't gotten used yet. I'm sure I'll get my fill in the years to come.
That might surprise of finding something that cool in a compost area I think I've got a horseshoe buried in my ass or something because I wasn't expecting that at all I think I'll start doing some metal detecting out the back where the compost field is going to be in my garden I can't wait to find out the results of all the cool stuff I'm going to find there
Hi Gary, no the GM 1000 or any other will be good for hunting flour gold, but detectors can indicate areas that may hold gold by hearing the deposits of black sand.
I never toss trash back, all goes home with us. I don't have a truck big enough to haul out hot rocks out lol. I have a 50 gallon drum of trash at home...
Is the place where you are prospecting an old river bed? I am asking you that because I can see that the rocks are angular. Can you please explain what is the reason for that? Thank you in advance!
I was still in all metal, but when not working , but a small spot at a time it stays pretty well tuned to the ground. I do occasionally re-balance even in these conditions though.
Yes I like to keep a bend at the head to lessen the wire moving when bumped because being metal inside the coil "sees" the wire move and gives false signals.
@@NUGGETSHOOTER I havent found much, but I love looking at it and I feel like it'd be hard to sell it unless I was surviving on it. Thanks for the reply!
Well that's cool I'm quite surprised I think I'll do some more mining out by the back where the compost is going to be I had to check it out in the next couple of days when it stops raining it's raining pretty hard here so I can't do any filming until I'm got some nice weather
Unfortunately the gold Monster 1000 snot waterproof so I'm going to see if I can do some mining in the next couple of days and do some metal detecting out the back supposedly there's lots of old bottles and stuff from the old old timers that lived here in the old days and 70 60s and 70s and there's lots of remnants of old buildings out the back so you never know what I might find in some of those old floors they were old miners at the time and I live on the bar Kerrville Highway in Canada were I don't know if you have ever seen Barkerville but it's a gold mine up there and they're pulling out lots of or all the time I saw a Chinook go by with the big net hanging underneath the helicopter I guess they must have had a big pour so they had to carry the gold out so yeah this country in the Caribou is pretty rich and gold so I'm surprised I found out nugget and all it was just digging a spot for compost didn't use anything I just happened to find it it's pretty cool I'm stoked and yeah my wife's pretty happy too she wants to try it
Your process is backwards. Be careful. You often have material in the scoop,, pour some into your hand,, retest the scoop,,,, but then you throw the untested material in your had away. The scoop is still signaling,, so it must be still in the scoop. No. One of the two, or three,, or four,, targets is still in the scoop. The risk of your method is IF there are two or more nuggets,, targets,, in your scoop,, you are only going to find the one. The rule is,, you must only discard material that has been tested. You do not throw away untested material because something is still in the scoop. Always assume there are two or three targets in the scoop. The screw or rivet you found? You threw away the nugget and kept the screw.
Yes one can lose one if not careful, that is why I mention always putting the dirt nearby, I always re check the pile. The detector is so sensitive it will hear your hand so waving your hand over the coil with dirt in it is not an option.
Please show us your detector settings at the start of each hunt!! Much appreciated you sharing these videos - Thankyou!

Hey Bill whats your way of setting up the cable on the gold monster
Bill is it possible for the gold-bug 1000 to get a bigger coil for longer depth or deeper depth can you get one for the gold Monster 1000

Hi from northern Alberta, all we seem to have here is flower gold, would the minelab gold monster work for flower gold, never detected before,
Hi Gary, no the GM 1000 or any other will be good for hunting flour gold, but detectors can indicate areas that may hold gold by hearing the deposits of black sand.
4 good finds in a hard worked area! Was wondering why you toss your trash and hot rocks? I hate finding the same target twice.

have you used the gold bug 2. i'm looking to purchase either the gold bug 2 or GM 1000. do you recommend one over the other. Thank you.
Is the place where you are prospecting an old river bed? I am asking you that because I can see that the rocks are angular. Can you please explain what is the reason for that? Thank you in advance!
Not a riverbed, I am hunting a hillside and banks
@@NUGGETSHOOTER Thank you for the reply. Keep up the good work!
After watching your other video how come you didn’t have to ground balance again after sitting it down??
Might have been on the shallow discriminating setting.
I was still in all metal, but when not working , but a small spot at a time it stays pretty well tuned to the ground. I do occasionally re-balance even in these conditions though.
I was still in All Metal/Deep, but will switch over in a wash with a lot of black sand and Magnetite present.
would prefer the gold bug 2 or the gold monster
Gold Monster, I had a GB2 for many years and loved it, but the Gold Monster works better for me.
Is there a special way to wrap your cord off your coil onto the shaft up to head unit?
Yes I like to keep a bend at the head to lessen the wire moving when bumped because being metal inside the coil "sees" the wire move and gives false signals.

Hey Shooter! Just curios, what do you do with all of your gold? Do you sell it or just hang on to it?
Sell most

How come you don't use a magnet
I do, there is one om my pick, but it doesn't grab all the little bits of iron from deep in the cracks.
Bill you look like your having to muck fun digen dirt i wish it was easier but its not
só material ferroso
I'm sorry I didn't say that right my tablet spells what it wants the gold Monster 1000 can you get a bigger coil for deeper gold
No a VLF only goes so deep, a Pulse Induction detector is for going very deep
