Just between colors. There is no satin enamel in the base coat

Loving those colours!! Beautiful painting! So how did you like that pouring medium overall? I ordered the Vallejo Pearl medium and they sent me that instead. If it's not bad maybe I'll use it, instead of just letting it sit there unopened.

Sometimes with multiple ring pours, I like how the first one spreads out, but then when you do pour 2 or even 3, the first one gets too spread out and ruined. Can't you pour out all the spots and then tilt and spread them at the same time? I never see anyone do it that way.
Judith I do one cup at a time. Gives me better control over my composition. I tilt it until there is no movement. Then the next cup.

Is it okay to use gesso as the base coat? 10:28
Only to prime your canvas
Or if you want to add texture to your canvas. Then when dry you use your base coat.
