If Scanlan is not your favorite I need a compelling argument in reply to this comment. I'm REALLY stable on this issue, but feel free to try your luck! :)
My boi Grog is better though just sayin! Anyway thanks for reviewing this I've been a fan of CR for years now and was hoping so much for the show to be good and.... IT IS ! :D . P.S. Grog is my fave in CR because i feel travis does an amazing job at playing a fucking idiot which i feel is more difficult at times than playing someone with the ability to at least write, hope that will shine later on in the show.
@@yannickv.s1815 he's up there for me, how can you not love that guy / character? but again, saying things like these seem redundant, because they are all so awesome when watching them perform on CR
@@CallistoTheWarriorQueen Laura is absolutely my favorite in CR (well, it's really close with Matt and Sam, but Laura does dramatic moments better than anyone else)
I really liked your perspective about how it boils down to fun! That is such a clear take on this. I would love to hear from you on the other topics! I think the next couple of episodes are going to be a wild ride.
After you mentioned the show being ~25% serious and 75% light and fun I am definitely curious to see your thoughts on the remainder of the series. Oh, and Scanlan is my favorite, followed closely by Grog.
I have watched the season since, and I'm not sure there will be a video about it, so I'll briefly reflect here - I generally really enjoyed it, and I was glad to see some heavy drama and more dark stuff in it, I think it serves the show well that it's leaning heavily into the uncensored nature of it. My only problem was with Keyleth's character, and if I ever made a video on the whole season, this would probably be the focus of it. She was the most relatable character for me, and she was used in such a weird way - she thinks she is powerless, yet she gets like 3-4 of these "holy crap she is the most powerful" moments. It's a bit too heavy handed for me, would have worked better if she got ONE of these deus ex machina scenes at the end. I think the middle part of the show was by far the best. Scanlan closely followed by Grog for me as well, high five! :)
Ironically Scanlan was actually my least favourite character. I don’t find bodily humour very funny so many of his scenes were just cringey for me. The secondhand embarrassment is too real. Totally a personal preference. The humour just didn’t resonate. I liked him more in his serious moments. My favourite was Keyleth. I love druids and she was MVP of the season.
