I need spring steel walking sole workman thick leather boots with wide toe box but takes inserts. Millions need good footware, especially older and younger.
good marketing then.. because wide box shoes look goofy af in person. but it doesn't matter, I would rather have unsmashed feet. there are many brands picking up this trend now and I think the more people try them the more mainstream they will get. Normal shoes are a testament to how sheepish people are, wearing uncomfortable garbage for centuries because whoever invented them never saw a foot
my son and I both wear barefoot shoes for everything now and they are so comfortable and my feet feel better and it's only been a month. My son loves them. The fashion in Australia is to have chunky shoes with a 2 inch heel! Even at the specialised sports shops! So we had to go online.
Reebok Nano Flex are great cross trainers imo. You can do any leg workout comfortably in them, go running in them or do a conditioning style workout in them as well.
I've exclusively used the Nano X for 4yrs now. I love them so much I bought 4 pairs (one unopened pair is currently in my closet). They are that good. No heel, wide toe box, and are very durable. If you can find them, they are worth it.
My knee was hurting on squats. Finally got bold and popped my shoes off so I could get my feet flat. Was an immediate game changer. Went home and ordered wide toes shoes but I’ll probably just go the no shoe route from now on. Return to monke.
I think it's awesome you helped design the shoe. I hope you guy's also considered people with ankle injuries, and or foot injuries. Like myself. Creating a 3/4, or hightop version of said shoe would help with stability for those who need it.
Wearing barefoot shoes completely transformed my workouts. They allow my feet to move naturally, which improved my stability and form during lifts. Over time, I’ve felt my legs and feet grow stronger. I personally use Hykes Max. They’re minimalist, durable, and really comfortable. It’s like rediscovering how your feet are meant to function.
Fantastic! Now can you do one for people who do HIIT training (rowing, lifting, and treadmill running)??? Definitely getting these AND the upgrading my Olympic shoes!
I never really cared for sponsored merch, but this is so functional that it sounds like a must have. My gyms squat racks are wood, so it would be slippery without shoes.
wide foot with toes spread out is better for stability, weightlifting. Narrow foot with toes scrunched together is better for sprints and jumps as it’s a smaller surface area at ground contact to apply force through.
Aunque esto pueda no ser tan alucinante como que te digan el "futuro", me parece que esto es mejor y mas util, incluso aunque a veces no sea tan facil de entender o de aplicar.
I take my sneakers off when doing squats, RDL and barbell rows(I do squats after the rows so make sense to just stay in the squat rack😂) this guy is clutch has he taught me about spreading my toes during a squat. Legend!
For me it’s squat shoes, I have good ankle mobility but they add that little bit extra and let me fully roast my quads, especially for squats, legs press and squat variations like hack squat and pendulum squat
There are other zero drop shoes of various costs and quality. Typically they will also have a wide toe box. They will also help naturally correct running form (start small though) and can significantly help foot pain (and posture???) when used as a daily use shoe. I like the brand Xero shoes since they have a variety of shoes for different situations.
No hate, I love your channel, but what makes those any different than the whitin zero drop barefoot shoes I currently use to lift, that only cost 40 bucks?
Dr Aaron, are we gonna ignore the fact that you front squatted 275lbs with a pause in the bottom? I swear. Weightlifters are some of the most unassuming people on the planet because they're typically not muscle bound ( there's obvious exceptions), but there absolute strength and neurological muscular expression is top notch!! I think Dr. Aaron is the strongest PT in the world, lol.
Do they work for everyday wearing or running as well? Or just for weightlifting? If so, do you have other models for other uses? I am looking for one of these shoes for daily wear, thanks!
I wish you guys would come out with an even wider shoe! For some of us that have been wearing barefoot shoes for a while and naturally have a wider foot, this shoe isn’t wide enough! Sadly had to return
I have 2 pairs of shoes. 1 someone bought for me and I wore once for a funeral. The other are my wide tow slip resistant water proof crocks I’ve worn them every day for almost a year now and even use them every time I go to the gym.
Shout out Cbum for the opening stitched video!
Shout out to you, my man.
You deserve it.
how about a link for those shoes?

Isn't that lbs?

They actually do look nice af
They're pretty proud of them too $160 for barefoot shoes...

Bill Maeda the legend!
Such a cool lift in the end

Agreed. Not barefoot obvs but they're flat and wide
Cbum really is the best for a reason. He knows what he's doing.

It actually looks sick and that's rare. Definitely I'll be checking these out.
We NEED WOMEN SIZES in these shoes PLEASE 🥺

Ok, now make a sock that isn't $160.
I can’t wait for the version with a lifted heel.
This is why you need yourself a home gym 👑
Fantastic! Now can you do one for people who do HIIT training (rowing, lifting, and treadmill running)???

Need a hightop version for those that need additional ankle support.
They are lowkey fire 🔥
The best shoe for this Crocs Bistro. Really!

Awesome video, could you make one about cavus feet?
I didn't know this. Thank you.
If “toe shoes” can catch these can be a world wide success in my opinion.
Lile the Vibram FiveFingers?

Love your squat, it's all the way down.
I have a pair, and I love them. Awesome footwear so far. I've worn vivos for some time these are right there with em.

I got the weight lifting TYR shoes, the ones that aren't too flexible, and I love it. The wide toe is an absolute must in fitness shoes.
Uncle Bill Maeda! 🔥🔥🔥💪💪
Bring it to India 👏🏻
This man just sold us barefoot 😂
Dope to hear this from y’all cuz I love training in socks sooooo much ❤️
I use grip socks to deadlift, they awesome.
You are literally the best channel on TH-cam my guy, so happy I found you 😁 you've helped my mobility so much just watching your videos. Keep it up!
This is awesome!! Congratulations on the prpduct. Can't wait to get my own. Please make some in black.
They do have an all black pair. This is just the special colorway
Thank god i have my own gym
160$? Nah im going barefoot
its rly 160?
that ain’t even that bad fr like that’s some air maxes
That’s about standard, for a solid pair of shoes in most sports.
You *could* get those yeezy pods, they’re kinda like this but i personally don’t like the way they look
barefoot shoes are all scams
Woah! I have wide feet in general so this is a gane changer thanks doc!
Buying these next for sure
Reminds me of Tom Platts shows. I think Tom's has a slight elevation at the heel though
If you’re looking for a heel elevated shoe - I made the L1 lifter with TYR last year: www.tyr.com/footwear/l-1-lifting-shoe
I didn't know he made a lifting shoe 😮. That's great. ❤
@@SquatUniversityHow many inches is the heel elevation?
@@antonio1681 - 21 mm which equals .83 inch. That's pretty typical for a lifting shoe.

i front squatted heavy with socks on and my foot slipped and i fell w the weight on me. jus be careful. (i had safety bars i was fine)
Wearing shoes reduces the risk of injury and contracting HPV in your feet, so there’s a reason why most gyms require you to wear shoes.
Bearfoot makes great shoes for this also. I actually squat in their work boots!
I got to remember that thanks!!

Smooth out the bottom of some square box Stacy Adams 😂😂 you’ll have all the toe space in the world
Wrestling shoes are goated for lifting. Good traction, wide toebox, neutral drop, and they’re usually cheap as shit if you’re buying asics
I started wearing wide toe box shoes and my ankles used to hurt so bad. One month later I can feel how much stronger my ankles toes and calves are 💪
Vivo Barefoots!! Let's go!!
