Funnily enough, this level is also surprisingly challenging with the wall climb jump badge. It throws off a lot of timings and gives you so little horizontal momentum- I recommend it to anyone still looking for a challenge!
A handy tip (which admittedly defeats the purpose of this particular challenge you're bringing up, but can still be useful) is that spin jump wall jumps aren't affected by that badge. You can even use them to preserve the special wall climb jump to use it after a sequence of normal-trajectory wall jumps, since it doesn't use it up.
Usually I hate it when games give you an upgrade and a nerf as a power up, when non-nerfing power ups exist, but these seem really obnoxious and I'm going to really love it when I get this game

I’d actually argue that it looks like it made the level easier. The extra high jump I think would give you the ability to keep up with the beat much easier, you’d just need to make sure not to get ahead of it
I liked this game. I gave up at the last section of the final-final level. I could've used a second player on yoshis back for a visible crown but I'd had enough.
How hard would it be with the wall climb with all 3 coins on the way? You can get the first coin easily but you’ll be slower bc you have to do the wall climb.
Which one did you find the most difficult? I think the running badge makes it almost easier and the spring one at least gives you better jumps but is really obnoxious to control. Invisibility maybe? though the rythm possibly alleviates that a bit
Took me about 50 tries. I ended up using the Auto Super Mushroom badge as it gives you a bit more room to hit each wall. I also played it in handheld mode to rule out any input lag.

I almost lost my sanitary when I did this level. Jesus christ!!!! I think I lost over 40+ extra lives, extremely frustrating but then I made it😂 And then I missed the last purple coin so I had to redo it again🙄
Beating the level with spring and while collecting all 10-Coins in a row is, in my opinion, the hardest challenge in mario history! that or I'm just bad at mario😅
After 75 attempts i did this stage for the first time with all the 10 purple coins and wonderful flag with the expert running badge... OMG it took me an hour and 15mins
I haven't played it, so I can't really judge, but spring jump looks like it makes the stage easier since you can focus entirely to the beat, instead of focusing on the beat and probably click the button for a time too short because you're trying to be fast and perform a short jump and die. With the spring badge you're guaranteed to make the highest jump possible. Then Idk it could be harder than that but to me it looks easier
Yea it's easier on everything else except to get to the blocks that are two or one high to wall jump off of. You can't jump higher or else you can jump over it and fall or even if you jump on the block instead of wall jumping it waste too much time that the purple Lava will catch up. And if you jump too low you will fall. The spring personally was the hardest one because of those jumps and took me the longest to beat.

I was hoping one of these was going to be the mountain climber badge(I think it's called? The one where instead of doing a wall jump, you jump straight up off the wall to get on a high platform you can't reach?) I had that badge equipped when I first encountered this level, and it...was not helpful. Lol. I'd like to see someone beat it like that. Also, is it just me, or are the wall jumps in this game delayed a bit as compared to other NSMB games PR Mario Maker?

World 4 Special level, the Pole Block Allure. It was so hard to do WHILE INVISIBLE! Took me 40 deaths until I completed that autoscroller monstrosity.

I actually used that running badge to help me beat it normally lol. It helped with getting the 10 coins.
I wish I thought of that myself, I could've made up for lost time in the straight sections
It was much easier for me to do it with the run badge too, especially to get ahead enough for the wall jumping at the end.
Same here. I was often not quick enough towards the end and the Jet badge made it possible for me.

The jetrun badge is actually surprisingly good for speedrunners due to its mechanics, sooo jokes on the devs.

A good tip for the Invisibility Badge is to spin jump so you get a bigger indicator

Somehow the spring badge actually made it look easier (heck run badge could also help with the 10-coins).
I gave up on this level. Way too difficult and I will never be able to beat it.
