I have the older version of this bible & I love it! I got it a couple of years ago & I’m almost done filling out every column throughout the Bible. However… not a fan of the strap! I know, it’s my preference, but it’s inconvenient for me. I took mine off and use it without it. Thanks for the video!
I have a compact and thinline in this style and love them! You can always remove the strap if it becomes too cumbersome, the flap stays decently on its own.
I have the older version of this that I have been using all year reading though the Bible. The paper is my favorite, I wish all Bibles had this paper. The smell of the leather is so good, and the feel. I kind of wish the strap was less crazy and actually attached to the cover, and the flap can be annoying sometimes. Also, I never take it anywhere because it is so large. I have a smaller one I take with me to church
I love using the ESV journaling Bibles for studying, writing study notes, prayers and thoughts, highlighting, and underling. I buy a new one each year!

Too small font size - at least IMO. I bought this Bible some years ago when first released. I used it a lot (it had ruled lines then) and I still have it. But I keep it in my car. In fact when I bought a new car last year, I failed to remove the Bible and the retailer did not find it when cleaning it as it was in a drawer under the front seat. I was upset and they tracked down the car in another State with its new owner, and found the Bible. It’s safely back in my new car. 😅

In Afghanistan I even started a three-year project, following the RCL each week and copying in my favorite commentary from the Ancient Christian Devotional series. Crossway also used to make a thinline with the flap and strap, as well as a natural leather without the flap and strap. Until they come back out with it, I think I lean toward the thinlines from Scriptura. ✌️🤓
I purchased this and it came with nics and scratches where it was clear it was from poor handling or packaging. I wrote customer service at Crossway, sent photos of the damage and was told “We don’t consider this damage; it’s the nature of the leather.” Be warned about the out of the box quality of the product and the company not offering much help with customer service.
Hi Brother Tim. I have the Crossway large print single column journaling Bible, bonded leather. LOVE IT! Perfect size Bible. More lines for journaling than their others, also lines are solid not dotted. I'm thinking I need to purchase another one before they discontinue this style. Perfect would be if it had a cross reference system also. The Bonded Leather is showing wear after 3 1/2 years. The Bible your showing today wouldn't be a choice for me just because of the 7.5 font. That is to small IMHO for a journaling Bible. Makes it difficult for underlining. I'm thinking that style of Leather will be picking up stains easily. The wrap around? To much work, to much hanging while using Bible. Snap flap, nifty buckle or zipper would be nice. Thanks for the video, always enjoy your content. Blessings in the Lord! ✝️📖🙏🤍

I know that notetaking and marking in Bibles can be a very popular pastime. For me, I have issues with trying to do that (beyond the presentation pages, that is). It's not just limited to Bibles; even in college, I had the most difficult time marking or highlighting textbooks! Not to mention that my penmanship was BAD to begin with (i.e. grade school), and has only gotten *WORSE* over the years (Ever have your cursive handwriting be mistaken for shorthand?). AND (last but not least) . . . since I am still new to Bibles (in my old age), I have to wonder, "What would I put down?" However, it hasn't stopped me from eyeballing wide-margin and journaling Bibles (not surprisingly for me, ESV is what I focus the most on). And THAT PARTICULAR journaling Bible is one I have been curious about ever since I read it was coming. Nice to see it, finally! I really like the classic look of the natural leather and overlapping flap! If I ever get over my own mental inertia and reluctance, THAT would be at the top of my list! (Oh wait, it's already ON my wish list!)
I have one that is several years old and I took the strap off. My favorite type of cover on a Bible 🙌🏻

I have the interleaved edition with this cover. It's big and the strap is crazy, but so pretty!

Instead of using the strap, I would attach, some Velcro to the flap of the bible to keep the flap secure.
