Is it easier to do rasgueados with the guitar in flamenco position than in traditional classical position? It feels funny to me when it's on the right leg.
Hi Roger! Thanks for commenting. It can and should be done on either leg but may feel funny on the opposite leg you’re used to playing on until you get used to it. I like to change my playing position several times during my practice sessions just for variability. I find that this helps a lot. Hope this helps!

Good question! I’m honestly not sure. Most people start with P (upstroke) but you can definitely start on any of the movements. In fact, I recommend practicing your starts on each movement anyway so that you can start and stop on any one of them. Example: m-p-p-m-p-p-m-p-p.
@GaZonk100 Oh! I see what you mean. I actually don’t have a clip on mic on the Guitar. The one you see inside the sound hole is an internal, on board K&K microphone that I had added to the guitar so that I could plug it in. But I don’t use that microphone for any of my videos on TH-cam. For this video, I used this mic: amzn.to/4h2YZ5R Excellent mic for guitar!
Hi Deiego, for some reason Abanico is giving me a LOT of problem. Im doing all of the steps , wrist rotation. But frequently while doing the downstroke with the thumb, it gets caught. And im not even trying too hard as u told not to do, incredibly frustrated and need some help!
This is common. Try moving your thumb slightly away from the strings on the downstroke. You could also add a tiny bit more flexion to your wrist. This should helps!
Great tutorial, thank you for your detailed explanations.

Thank you, Diego! Why do the flamenco triplets start on an upstroke? It seems very counter-intuitive.

Great suggestion! I will put that on my list. Thank you so much!
