40 years on they still hit it out of the park. That Bristol gig last year was really a celebration of themselves and everything that had lasted since the 80s
Bought their first album in 1980 on tape. Was into punk, but had never heard of this band, but their name sounded like the kind of music I'd want to hear. Wierd out there sound, lyrics forming an imaginary world Inthe head of a provincial boy, and psychedelic. Then getting mulled one night someone played I just wanna sleep with you off talktaltalk . Wow. I was speechless. Most psychedelic, heavy and amazing lyrics. Saw them twice 1984, Cornwall colliseum and Portsmouth still listen to them sometimes after several years gap and it always carries the same excitement and a sound of the new. Noone is making anything original no more, but I grew up in a great time
What a privilege to hear these before they were 'cleaned up' . . .
Addicted to since 1980

Richard Butler was one of those who was not too attached to one single definitive version of the lyrics.
bloody love the furs
"all of this and nothing " encompasses so many past relationships and this version with keyboards is brilliant
You never cease to amaze!
Wow stunning version of all of this and nothing
Just came on to say exactly that!
A Masterpiece...
Holy shit man.
I couldn’t have put it better!
such an under appreciated band.

I knew they were better than the commercial stuff that made them famous
