    I've watched a TON of tutorials on SOP Pyro, and none have been as clear and comprehensive as yours. You've done a man's job, Sir! Much Respect!

    Came to learn about the Pyro Solver, ended up learning a wayy more efficient method for creating fire! Thank you so much! :)

    If I ever had a Houdini mentor like this for the whole Houdini journey, I would have saved months and years of time! Thanks. The best explanation I couldn't find else where

    Amazing, this was by far the best run through I've watched so far. Really well explained. Thanks

    Thank you so much, Mark, That's a very detailed and extremely helpful explanation of how flame and smoke works inside of Houdini 18, as a 3D artist you made me feel very comfortable with the pyro solver

    The SOP Pyro is still a DOP solver (Dive inside and check the folder structure atop your network view - SOPs Pyro is basically a HDA) - you can still go inside and fiddle around with everything once you open it up. Its just SideFX put it into SOPs for ease of use by people who struggled with the old DOPs SOPs etc concept.

    is it possible to export this 3D scene into a 2D animation strip?

    There is a whole bunch of menues that have changed since you made this video. Am I missing something or is this video now "invalid"? Fx the Attribute Noise node no longer lets you remap the noise. What can I do to keep following along?

    • @Escapestudios
      @Escapestudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does let you remap the noise. There is a check box you need to turn on on the attribute noise SOP node. Hope that helps.

    dangit... always the odd-man-out with these houdini, tuts... I can barely keep up with what he's doing. I landed on something that is clearly too advanced for me. Off to different, less complex tutorial for me.

      This is by no means complex, just a lot of info dumped at once if you’re new to how Houdini works. Look up Steven Knipping, he makes some excellent tutorials for getting started in pyro and getting super high quality results
