I will say this in the early 1980s we had to watch out for the fronts and carvers but that went both ways Campanella.Fruit.Town and West Side Piru stayed at it with them along with the Palmer Blocks
My brother in law is Mexican Mondo from Front Hood. They without a doubt is a top 3 CC who gave Piru's the most problems in the 80's and 90's.

Great interview I salute the brother Bam, for recalling the stories so vividly and articulately. I loved seeing the newspaper clipping showing all the talent that came out of Compton. As a mother of 3 sons, Football definitely kept my sons too tired to run the streets after they were done eating, doing homework, and showers. I believe we should definitely keep all the sports teams busy, especially starting at the little league age. I believe we can save a few more souls once more of our men get/stay involved with these boys thru mentorship/coaching, Just my 2 cents, Respectfully!😊
